Simple to use and extremely effective at sharpening all my knives - big & small blades, as well as kitchen scissors. Small enough to be stored away and portable enough not to be a hassle to use.

I recently, after much deliberation as there are a huge number of makes to choose from, purchased a set of Salter knives from Amazon. I went for the Salter knives as I have a set of Salter electronic kitchen scales which look fantastic and were purchased from Amazon on looks alone but also funtion very efficiently. I invested in this knife sharpener to protect my investment in the Salter knives and use it to sharpen them before every use (which Salter say will prolong the knives life but also a sharp knife does the job better and you are less likely to damage yourself than with a blunt knife!)but I have also used the sharpener on virtually every knife I own with great results. The sharpener is a solid well put together piece of kit and looks robust enough to last many years. Safe and easy to use - it does the job.
