We have been using this for over a year now. Not only is it a brilliant sandwich toaster, very easy to clean and takes up little space when stood up, but it is very versatile.
We use it to cook steaks, onions, bacon, fish cakes, burgers, etc.
If you are a student this would be ideal!
What makes it so useful is really that it is easy to clean as no parts are removable. After you have cooked your food, use a damp/wet cloth and wet the two surfaces. Eat your food. Now come back and wipe it clean with a damp cloth and then a paper towel. Thats it! Even 'baked' on meat juices just come straight off.
We have an electric hob and an oven, but still use this often.
Highly recommended!

I bought TR40 a few months back. When we ordered it we hadn't realized that the cooking plates or the press are flat, not grooved. We were disappointed and thought of returning it. One day my wife tried making "Aloo Parathas" with this. The results were fantastic. With almost no oil, she could make perfect parathas in under a minute. Just for this the sandwich press is worth its price. The press is easy to operate and clean. It can be stored in an upright position, so takes up very little place. Good simple product.

This is the most flexible toastie maker you will find! All sorts of fillings, any variety of bread and no greasy sandwiches. So easy to use and the 'floating' lid means you can really stuff those fillings in. It heats up much more quickly than the instructions suggest and cooks to perfection. I can't wait for lunch time. Oh and I hear it's great for pancakes too.
