Don't bother. Seriously. June 5, 2008 Scampi (London) Don't buy this on the back of the somewhat dubious 5* reviews, which were the only ones when I got it. The instructions that come with it are nonsensical, but the controls are basic so I thought I'd give it a go anyway. It's still rubbish.
Loved it so much have also brought one for my Mum April 5, 2008 John Hilton (UK) As the title reads, this must be the cheapest and best gadget i've got in my kitchen, because my mum loved it so much I got her one for her birthday.
The included manual is misleading. April 1, 2008 Mr. E. Kristiansen 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
When I got the package and took a look at the waffle iron I was initially disappointed. Reading the manual of this 'glorified sandwhich maker' made things worse. So I decided to just try the thing and I was actually surprised. It DOES make waffles. Thinking about it those dimples couldn't make a sandwhich, the filling would have nowhere to go. The manual reeks of coming from a foreign country hence the misleading text. So I give this 3 starts, 4 stars for the waffles, and 2 starts for the lousy manual. PS. Try making a sandwhich on that thing, it doesnt work as the dimples are far too sharp and large.
Toasted sandwich maker by another name..... March 4, 2008 P. J. Nicholls 5 out of 8 found this review helpful
Having read the two reviews I thought this would be the perfect replacement for my old waffle maker as it seemed to be capable of making perfect Belgian waffles. However when I received it, I found it only capable of using buttered bread with a variey of fillings. To me this was nothing more than a breville with dimples. I may be wrong(and please forgive me if i am) but I assumed that a waffle maker was something that made waffles from a waffle batter mix? I contacted the company via Amazon but after 10 days have still not received a reply. My advice is if you want a waffle maker - get something else.
You can't buy a waffle maker this cheaply February 12, 2008 JAWS (West Sussex, UK) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Don't be fooled into buying this product. It is a terrible waffle maker - try spending a little more and buy a decent one (either from Amazon, high street or other internet retailer). You may think the price of this waffle maker is too good to miss - and the answer is that it is too good to miss. (Also note that the incredible reviews for this product are all written by reviewers who have only reviewed products sold on Amazon from elektroworld!)
