Fantastic - I wonder if HOOVER are going to copy this patent? August 19, 2008 Brendan T. Hole (UK) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Buying a Dyson saved the hassle of making shore you had some bags for your hoover as you didnt need any for it - which is great! So, when i saw this design (and knowing how good Dysons are at sucking things up) I just had to have it! Its funny how all the hoover companies who wouldn't except Dyson's designs immediately copied them when his hoover was selling like mad. The only problems with it would be just picking just like you can do with other hoovers. - I think this Vacuum Cleaner is the best I've ever bought (for the price it is definitely worth it!).
5 Stars for Dyson as usual! August 11, 2008 S. Taylor 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is my second Dyson, first bought nearly 12 years ago and is actually still working just fine! Now owning a shop I needed a decent hoover in there so decided to treat myself to a new one. Not disappointed, light as a feather very compact and as such much easier to store than my last one, lightweight making going upstairs a real doddle. No crevice tool with this which was a shame, all tools have been provided with previous models but, at 5.99 not going to break the bank! Dyson for me above ALL others every time.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED August 6, 2008 K. Gregory (UK) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have owned this for a few weeks now and am very impressed. I have always been a complete Dyson-phobe and refused to give in like the millions of other "Dyson fans" saying that they were overpriced and not as good as my current hoover. I previously owned a Henry hoover and didn't think I could get much better until this little thing came along. Compact and small it stores away without taking up too muchroom (always a good thing in a flat) and it picks up absolutely everything. The attachments are easy to use and handy to have when you need to reach corners and are vertically challenged. It is easy to empty and a dream to own, I am now fully converted!
Great for it's weight August 4, 2008 Charles Duke (Devon, UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This vacuum cleaner is very good. For it's cleaning ability it is very light, important due to our arthritis problems in the hands. As the weight is low down there is very little to support. Please be aware though that the mini-turbine head available as an extra (about 25) DOES NOT FIT THIS MACHINE. The one we bought stated "Fits all Dyson vacuum cleaners except..." The DC24 wasn't listed, but head doesn't fit the upholstery hose properly and the brush head doesn't turn effectively. Dyson say DC24 came out in March and our turbine was obviously packaged before that or DC24 would be on list of exclusions, but there is no warning in sales literature or on DC24 box about this. It seems Dyson need to design a smaller turbine to work with this scaled down machine. Buy a matress head or one with the red strips for pet hair - much cheaper too! Apart from that dissapointment (we have pets) very pleased indeed.
wonderful but fiddly July 13, 2008 A Giimour 14 out of 15 found this review helpful
I have had Dyson's for more than 10 years, the most recent a DC07 has finally been replaced by the DC024, partly becuase the new one is so light. The cleaning power is totally awesome. We have cats and the amount of hair comming up makes me wonder how good the DC07 was towards the end! The ball is easy to use and all in all I was heading towards giving the DC024 5 stars. Then it stopped working. Something got wrapped round the brushes at the front and the manual supplied with the Dyson was useless. One call to dyson later and we were back in business but.. It got blocked so we had to fiddle round again trying to unblock the hoses on the side - some 10 minutes later we were back in business only to find the hose was too short to do the stairs (there are 9 stairs on our staircase). The final insult came when we emptied the cylander and managed to click the release button twice by mistake and it emptied the contents over the machine. Don't get me wrong, it is a wonderful machine and we would not give it back, but if you have a large house with children be prepaired to spend time unblocking the hoses and un pluging the machine as the power cable or hose is not as long as you need it.
