Motor died within two years June 15, 2008 Mrs. Natalie Humberstone 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this item in 2006 and used it during the summer months of 2007 (mainly). With the start of summer 2008 we decided to use the blender to make smoothies only to find that the motor died. Philips are unable to replace the item due to the fact that we know longer have the receipt and with the cost to fix it, we are better off just purchasing another blender. I have given the item three stars because whilst it worked it was really a good product. Don't lose the receipt and when the motor dies you will have better luck than I did. For the amount of money we originally spent on the item I would have thought it would have lasted longer than two years. Unfortunately this seems to be a problem with most Philips items. I am officially no longer purchasing Philips,
A Great Buy June 8, 2008 Lady Spendalot (London) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Having researched long and hard for a blender and the Philips being the one that stood out, I decided to try it even though it cost more than I wanted to pay. I have not been disappointed. The suction pads are awesome, the product can be easily dismantled for cleaning and most importantly it blends. I am very happy
Highly recommended June 4, 2008 Carole Banstead (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I use this product for making soups and cocktails at least weekly, and as back-up to my food processor for breadcrumbs, purees and chopping. I'm really delighted with it. It does exactly what any ambitious cook wants - and with its small footprint on your work surface and simply-assembled, easy-clean components it's never a big deal to use at a moment's notice. I also commend the supplier for his helpful and thoughtful after-sales service.
IMPRESSIVE LOOKS March 31, 2008 D. Benjamin 3 out of 7 found this review helpful
I WAS EXCITED ABOUT THIS PRODUCT, VERY APPEALING BUT VERY DECEIVING. MOTOR GAVE UP IN LESS THAN ONE YEAR UNLIKE CHEAPER BLENDERS DOING THE EXACT SAME THING. UNLESS PHILIPS DOES NOT HAVE THE WISDOM TO INCLUDE AND CHARGE FOR OR MAKE AVAILABLE SEPERATELY, THE FRUIT FILTERS FOR ALL BLENDERS USING THIS FANTASTIC FEATURE, THEIR GREAT PRODUCTS BECOME A PAIN. I AM A VICTIM AND SUFFERER OF THE NON EXISTENCE OF FRUIT FILTERS THAT HAVE A MUCH SHORTER LIFESPAN THAN THE MACHINES IN WHICH THEY ARE UESD. I DISGUST THAT ABOUT PHILIPS.THEY WILL NOT SUPPLY TWO IN THE BOX, NIETHER WILL THE CUSTOMER FIND IT TO BUY ANYWHERE ON EARTH. THAT IS BLIND THINKING FROM SMART PEOPLE. THIS IS MY ONLY GREAT NEGATIVE FROM AN OTHERWISE POSITVE MANUFACTURER, AND I REALLY WISH THEY WOULD MIVE QUICKLY TO CHANGE THAT. DESMOND.
Just what I needed - the 'perfect' liquidiser.... March 22, 2008 A Whitehead (UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Over 5 months now and not even ONE problem....... I'd needed a reliable and effective replacement as many smoothies are made in our house, for starters! Most importantly though, with this machine, I can add ice with confidence and not worry about the motor being ineffective or overworked. Whether I need to stir on slow, medium to make a soup, or add ice for a smoothie, it's ideal. Basically, in my eyes it's the perfect liquidiser.
