Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
"L?Equips Model 110.5 Mini Pulp Ejector Juicer was launched in the US in 2001 to rave reviews. It was awarded the accolade of Best Buy in the Independent Newspaper's juicer review for two consecutive years. Its larger brother (the 221) was voted the kitchen icon of the 90s by Gourmet Magazine. UK Juicers is the sole European importer of L'Equip products. Buy with confidence.

The 110.5 features a patented pulp ejection system. This ejects the pulp into a separate container through the rear of the juicer, allowing continuous juicing without the inconvenience of emptying an internal pulp collector. It is a compact machine (standing just 11.5 inches high) and is perfect for the space-challenged kitchen. Small is certainly beautiful in this case and the sleek lines and stunning polished stainless steel bowl add a touch of style to any interior. The beauty is much more than skin deep and its rare that a juicer this size packs so much power. Juicing is fast and efficient and producing enough juice for the whole family takes just a few minutes.

We would all prefer a juicer that cleans itself but The110.5 is genuinely one of the easiest juicers to clean (all juicing parts are dishwasher safe). With the fast, intuitive assembly and disassembly its hard to imagine a more user-friendly juicer. There is a big trend towards centrifugal juicers that can juice whole apples. When they work as well as this little beauty we'll have them in our range. It takes seconds to prepare food to fit the kidney-shaped feed tube and juicing doesn't get much faster than with this machine. It comes with a whopping 6-year manufacturer warranty and the parts that matter (juicing bowl, blade and basket) are all stainless steel. "

5 out of 5 stars I can't fault it.   January 29, 2008

Had this juicer for probably a year now. I used it for a couple of months then got fed up cleaning it. So gave up. I then read Jason Vale's 'Slim 4 Life' which enthused me so much I'm away with the juicer again and I know I will be for the rest of my life. What I found hard about cleaning it I don't know. It takes me 15 minutes in the morning to make my Juice wash up and put everything away. How hard is that for a healthier happier life.
It's an excellent juicer.I highly reccommend it. I did wonder about the philips juicer Jason Vale endorses but why change when this one ticks all the boxes.

I've never used a juicer before and when mine arrived this morning I was eager to get started.
The instructions were easy to follow, the machine easy to use, the juice lovely (first try was carrot and apple) and it was simple to dismantle and clean.
I'm very pleased with the L'equip and look forward to feeling the benifits of it soon.

5 out of 5 stars Best entry-level juicer on the market.   July 23, 2007

If you're interested in trying out juicing, but aren't sure you'll like it, this is the product to buy. It's about as easy to put together and clean as anything on the market. (When you've had much experience with juicers, you quickly come to appreciate this.)

L'Equip juicer is great for things like carrots. However, soft fruits, such as grapes, do not work well with it. They simply make too big a mess and gum up the works. If juicing grapes, strawberries, or other soft fruit is what you have in mind, then stay away from this product.

I've read studies showing that masticating juicers are the best in terms of the nutrition gleaned from the juices produced. If you're a very serious juicer, then this is the type for you - not L'Equip. However, most people are probably not quite so concerned about a 5% or, at most, 10% improvement in nutritional value. (Though, to be honest, I'm one of those people.) The centrifugal type of juicer, like L'Equip, is much faster in producing juice. This is certainly more convenient, but the combination of tearing the fruits and vegetables with the heat produced by friction produces a slightly less flavorful and nutritious result.

L'Equip produces very clear juice. That is, you'll get absolutely no pulp. Whether this is good or bad is determined by one's own desires. Also, like any other centrifugal juicer, it tends to produce a significant amount of foam.

Though it has flaws, L'Equip is a superb product for the money and likely the best centrifugal juicer on the market at any price. If you're interested in trying juicing for the first time, this is probably the best product you could consider. If you're certain that you want the best quality juicer and aren't so concerned about cost, or if you want to make grape or other soft fruit juice, then look for a masticating product.

4 out of 5 stars Not perfect, but pretty good   March 20, 2007

This is a "pretty good juicer". Its NOT "perfect" in my opinion. My first impressions when I took it out of the box were positive... it looks okay- nothing flash or stylish, but its not ugly either. I kicked off by making a #17 "Detox" juice that I usually buy from the London juice bars. Its made from celery, tomatoes, cucumber and Tabasco sauce. The first thing I noticed was the chute (hole to insert the vegetables/fruit) is an odd shape. Its shaped like a kidney, so there's no way you can insert large things like a whole tomato. this means you have to cut up everything into small, thin pieces. not the end of the world, but it does mean another knife and cutting board to wash up. Secondly, I noticed the noise... its fairly quiet when you're not puting anything into it, but as soon as you start inserting fruit and veg it "roars". Again, its not the end of the world, and the noise is easily tolerated unless you have very sensitive ears. third issue- efficiency. I don't think this juicer is as efficient as it could be. When I inspected the contents of the pulp container, the pulp was very moist, practically wet. I've heard of juicers so efficient at extracting juice that the pulp left over is virtually dry. Thats not the case with this juicer. There were also some fairly large chunks of tomato and celery in the pulp container, so it would seem that not everything is getting processed as well as it could do. Perhaps that is due to the small gap between the bottom of the ramming shaft and the blade itself, allowing space for bits to escape. Another small problem is that you can't get large cups to fit underneath the spout, so if you want to juice large quantities, you'll have to use a bowl or a shallow, wide container. So... on to the juice itself. How was it? Pretty good. The juice flowed fine into my cup, and all the pulp was left in the pulp tray. the juice was tasty... I would say equally, if not more tasty than the ones I usually purchase from the retail juice bars. So in terms of the quality of the juice it produces, I have no problems at all. Occasionally at the retail juice bars, I get a load of pulp thrown into the cup for some reason, but that didn't happen with this L'Equip juicer, so I got a whole cup full of juice to drink. That was great, especially since its about (...) for the equivalent quantity of juice from the retail bars, and my cup of juice cost a fraction of that when you consider that you have all the left over fruit and veg to make further cups. My final grumble is that it was not as easy as I expected to wash up. I mean, the pieces are disassembled fairly easily, but you've got: 1. the plunger, 2. the lid, 3. the blade, 4. the spout, 5. the pulp tray. that FIVE parts to wash up. That said, it didn't really take much longer than 5 minutes to wash it all up. The blade takes the longest because you need to get all the bits out of the holes. All in all, I guess I would recommend the L'Equip Mini Juicer. Its probably not the best, most efficient and easiest to clean juicer on the market, but it does make good juice!

After reading reviews on many Juicers I decided to purchase L'Equip Mini Pulp Ejecter Juicer and I am so glad that i did. The Juicer isn't too big therefore does not take up much room and the Juices it produces taste just divine.

So far so good - I have only recently purchased the product and am really pleased that i did.
