There's a saying that goes: "Build a better mousetrap, and the world will beat a path to your door." Well guess what? Nowadays we're a lot more likely to encounter a corked bottle of pinot than a mouse, and as far as I'm concerned, it makes no sense that any other type of corkscrew still exists!
This set comes with a foil cutter (not really needed) and a flashy box (also not really needed), and most importantly a nice and chunky lever-arm corkscrew that takes the cork out of the bottle smoothly every time. It even includes an extra screw should you ever need to change the one that it comes with.
These make a great gift (I've given a few of them in my time) and will give many years of service, at least until we all switch to screw-top caps ;-)
