 terrible - don't buy it November 9, 2008

The iron stopped creating steam out of the blue, looked at review web sites and found out that this iron is famous for it. Nothing will make it work, and that's depite wasting money on the costly filters. This is rubbish!

Interesting again.... I have also been baffled by this iron, and have now a replacement, as the first one was faulty. Same problem with the second, and I had the identical experience as 'Kate' (see below) except I tried again. It is quite a problem, as we are running a small B&B and it is essential to keep white sheets white. Morphy Richards also advised me this kind of thing 'never happens' and were 'very surprised' and ... impossible cause it was stainless steel - the first one I had started to rust around the plate as well as emit brown stains when least expected.. only thing is I tried a second time, and have now more stained white (newly purchased!) linens. It is going back for full refund, for sure.

First time I used it I thought, "Great! This is fantastic!" My ironing time was halved and it really did make ironing a pleasurable experience. However, on the second use, things were going fine until I had to refill it. After that it wouldn't generate steam. Tried many times but failed miserably so I've ended up going back to my conventional iron.
I feel very disappointed and very annoyed. I expect something that costs so much to meet certain expectations, but this product failed.

Interesting...my previous review seems to have been removed. May be that's cos I slated this product! Certainly would not recommend...second time of using it chucked dirty brown water all over my white linen! I phoned Morphy Richards who advised me that this was impossible from a new iron, so they said the only way this could have happened was if I was sold a re-conditioned iron! Needless to say I returned the iron for a full refund. Choose another product.

This iron is certainly one of the best items I have ever purchased. The iron heats up pretty much instantaneously and on the maximum setting produces enough steam to only iron one side of most items!
Without a doubt I would recommend this to anyone.
