Er. its pretty. You put pepper in it. Twist it. And. er, well ground pepper comes out.

I seem to have had a succession of inadequate pepper mills, and as this was half price when I bought it a few months ago, I thought it was worth a shot. Unfortunately, it has also failed to deliver and is bound for the next boot sale. I prefer coarsely ground pepper, but this only seems to be able to deliver finely ground, and even that is after great effort. Tonight, my 14 year old son asked when we going to get a decent pepper mill. I think that about sums it up.

I bought the Cole and Mason Bobbi Pepper and Salt Mill as a set and found that whilst the salt mill worked really well, the pepper failed to deliver the same satisfaction.
The main difference between the two is that the pepper mill has a stainless steel grinding mechanism and the salt mill has a nylon mechanism. Unless it's a design/production flaw, I can't understand why the teeth of the pepper mill's mechanism seems to be set a small gap apart from the rim. This results in very coarsely ground pepper which tends to come out quite inconsistently.
The top cover doesn't lock properly in place either after a refill and I often have to have a few goes at relocking it.
All in all, pretty to look at but doesn't provide a satisfactory grind.
Looks Nice - But Grinding Action Is Not Much Good June 2, 2008

This is an attractive modern looking pepper mill, but the grinding action compares very poorly to my old trusty wooden pepper mill.
It looks nice on your table but in my opinion doesn't do a great job in actually grinding pepper - as it takes quite a bit of turning to get a minimal amount of pepper out.
its cheap - in my opinion for a reason ..!!
