Amazon.co.uk Reviews The Mach 6 vacuum cleaner has given me fantastic cleaning results with its impressive suction power. It was easy to put together when following the instructions carefully and it has a load of features that have made cleaning the house a whole lot easier. My most hated chore is dusting and subsequently I didn't do it as much as I should. However with the dusting brush attachment, dusting has become so much easier (and more frequent). Another feature that I have found really useful is the long reach stair hose attachment. I actually don't have stairs in my apartment but have used it to reach outside my front door and clean the inside of my car! This will obviously only work for you depending on how close you car is to your house, but it stretches along way and I can definitely see how it would be of benefit if you had stairs to clean. Being tall, I have also found the telescopic handle to be of great use. I used to feel like I'd broken my back after going round the house with my old vacuum cleaner, but those days are now thankfully in the past. I would definitely recommend this product, especially to you dusting haters out there! -- David Vince, amazon.co.uk

Vax VZL-6016 Mach 6 August 26, 2008 Mrs. K. A. Wright (United Kingdom) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Unfortunately I had to return this particular model because of a fault. The carpet control Knob was extremely stiff and could not be adjusted, I found that the Mach6 was not that powerful and had to go over the same spot a few times, just to pick up the slightest crumb, but then this may have been a fault with that particular machine. I found it very heavy and quite awkward to use. I did not like the shinny green knobs as this made the machine look cheap and I feel they would tarnish in time. So overall I was not that inpressed with the Mach6 fault or not.
Not Great......... August 14, 2008 Mrs. R. Goldthorpe 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought the mach6 after having to replace my trusty dyson ( had for 11 years). Thought it was going to be a great buy.... unfortunatly not. It weighs a ton, really difficult to manuover. Doesn't pickup well no matter how hard it sucks. It won't pick up a piece of cotton from a carpet! If your thinking of buying one think again..... i wish i had! Don't think it will still be here in another 11 years.
Solid Build & Excellent Dust Pick Up. Fairly Heavy Unit though June 1, 2008 Grifster (London, UK) 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
Purchased for 119.98 from another retailer. Took 15 minutes to unpack and assemble. Very straightforward, with easy instructions. The Mach 6 replaced an orange Vax 6131 bag cleaner. I vacumed the house immediately, and to my astonishment was faced with a cylinder full of dirt and dust. I live alone, and had only vacumed 5 days previously, so the carpets certainly weren't dirty. However, the power and suction of the Mach 6 was able to suck up all the ground-in dirt from the carpets. So I was very impressed by the dirt collection and no loss of suction. I've never had a Dyson, so I'm unable to make a direct comparison with another bagless cylinder cleaner. The Mach 6 feels very solidly built and is able to hold all but two of the vacum tools. The power brush at the front of the unit is extremely powerful and ended up sucking up my speaker cable, snapping it in two. However, there is a button on the front of the unit allowing you to disable the rotating brush as and when you need to. I just forgot to do this, and paid the price. I have two reservations. Firstly the unit is fairly heavy compared to other similar upright bagless cleaners. Elderly or infirmed people may struggle to mobilise the unit as is required. Secondly the dust cylinder seems to leak a very small amount of dust from the release cap at the bottom. After emptying the unit for the third time I recognised a film of dust on the back of the unit. In my opinion, the release cap needs to be airtight, which it isn't. Overall I would give it an 8/10 and recommend the product. The 6 year guarantee is another huge bonus and a good reason to purchase. I registered mine online in seconds, it was very simple to do.
