Product Description
The Kidsleep product works by showing children in a simple, easy-to-understand way when it is time for them to get up, and when they should be staying in bed. When the child wakes up they simply look at the clock face - and the lit image on it will either show a sleeping rabbit (time to go back to sleep!) or a wide-awake rabbit (time to get up!). As a parent all you need to do is set the clock to the time when you want your child to get up, and show them that when the sleeping picture is lit they should stay in bed. You can get them to play-act sleeping in their bed with the sleeping picture on, and then getting out when the wide-awake picture comes on. Most children take this on board rapidly as the visual cue is very straightforward, and within a week will be staying in bed (or at least not waking you) until the wide-awake picture lights up. From birth 2 years the Kidsleep can be used as a night light. From 2-6 years as a sleep training aid and also as a regular alarm clock with birdsong chime. This is probably the least value item I have ever bought. Production costs must be 10p, but it retails at 35!!! OK, it works, it's big, and it's children friendly designed, but it's all plastic with a cheap digital clock. As for the funstionality: we never had a night light for our boy, and as the sleeping bunny light is on all night, it now actually keeps our 3 year old up when he awakes. He is also poking the bunny to wake it up, instead of copying its sleeping. However, I give it 2 stars as the little one loves it - albeit to poke it, turn it on and off himself and using it as a reason to get out of bed.

It took about six weeks but eventually our daughter now lies in bed until eventually shouting 'bunny's woken up'. This is overpriced for what it is but great value for what it can deliver.
A shame that it can't operate on batteries but there is nothing else on the market that comes close to this. We tried the other (much cheaper) bunny clock with the mechanical ears but it is erratic and has a 12 hour clock (useless!). This one has a digital 24-hour clock and is brilliant.
I have heard from other parents that they also find this clock invaliable but that the bulbs are really hard to get hold of.

I would think twice before buying this item. we have one and when we first got it we were really pleased and it helped our son to stay in bed until it was time to get up. it all started to go wrong when the bulbs went. you cannot get replacements for these bulbs anywhere! Then last week the display for the clock seems to have died! we have only had it a year! for something that was pretty expensive to start with you would expect more for your money....

First its hugely overpriced for what it is. Very cheap plastic, lacking some basic features.
1) Clock isn't battery backed up, so if little Johnny decides to pull the power lead out the back, you have to reprogramme it.
2) If little Johnny has never had a night light before, this device gives out a lot of light, so it may not be something you really want to introduce, for fear of tantrums when you try to wean him off it.
3) It falls over forwards far too easily. Needs to have a much better base. One knock or enquiring little push, and it falls over, bang!
Still dont know if it is effective either. Our 33 month old wakes up and shouts at the device to get the rabbit to wake up. Early days, but TBH I could have gotten something else I'm sure for a lot less money.

Found this product completely by accident, so glad I did. Wish I'd found it a lot sooner now. It has 2 front covers that you can slot in thus turning it into a nightlight (1 full image of a sleeping rabbit) or to the visual alarm clock. When it's time to get up, the going to school bunny lights up, alternitively you can set it to the tweeting bird alarm.
Such a good idea especially when it's lighter and darker in summer and winter.
The clock is not a massively solid item and strangely enough it only runs by mains which is a little odd, you would have expected batteries. The price?...a little extreme. But having said all that, what price are parents prepared to pay to discover undisturbed sleep again!?! ...In my case....Can't fault it and can't bring myself round to giving less than full marks., cheap at the price. it's magic!
