Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Saving energy and saving money couldn?t be simpler. Simply plug the desktop computer into the OneClick product MASTER SOCKET and the peripherals into the other sockets. Then plug the OneClick product into the wall socket, and switch on. Turn the desktop computer on, and the OneClick product instantly switches power to the peripherals (monitor, scanner, printer, games console, speakers, lights) etc. Switch it off, and it turns them all off - with just one click, leaving only the IntelliPlug on standby, consuming just 0.4 watts of energy. The OneClick product takes care of everything, automatically.

Have mentioned this product to other people, only to be asked `why don't you just turn it all off at the plug`, well the plug is behind a shelving unit - so pretty hard to get to and what are my chances of my kids remembering to do this? not good I would guess.

The intelliplug is so simple to use, and seeing all the other six peripheral lights go out when you turn off your pc is instant gratification.

Must admit energy costs are really focusing my mind at the moment and anything which helps is a bonus.

Worked okay for 18 months, then peripherals (including monitor) started being switched off while I was still working on the PC. A few days later, it wouldn't switch on any peripherals with the PC at all. Oneclickpower didn't want to know as it was out of warranty.

1yr warranty is inadequate for a product like this, which should last decades. A waste - considering how much it cost it didn't save anything like enough electricity to justify itself. When you add in the cost of resources used in manufacture - it's definitely not a green option.

5 out of 5 stars What a brilliant idea - it saved the day for me   June 17, 2008

I repair PCs for a living and recently got a call from a client who was trying to run two routers on one phone line, which is impossible to do unless one router is shut down at a time. The solution was to install the Intelliplug. Its clever electronics shut down the router in the office when the pc was switched off at the end of the working day, leaving the family free to switch on their wireless router at night and surf happily on their laptop.
Without the Intelliplug they previously had to rely on the office staff switching the router off manually, if they didnt it entailed a long walk to the office to switch it off before the other router could be switched on. Now its all automatic thanks to IntelliPlug ...AND it saves power at night as the pc, screen and router all shut down when the PC's power button is pressed ...PLUS it provides surge protection too.

Well, I just switch things off at the mains when I'm not using them. This saves electricity like this device does. My option also saves the 7 quid this device costs!
