Good to use, but poor construction May 20, 2008 C. RUSSELL 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Works like a dream, but I have had to glue it back together, and also the screw part stretches if the cork is too tough.

Can't totally understand reviewers who find it fails after 2 months. We've had ours for a year now (hundreds of bottles!) and it just goes on and on. So simple that even our 8 year old opens bottles for us. Users who fail to remove wax or foil caps (for which a tool is provided) will put too much strain on the thing, and risk failure. It will not disappoint!!
breaks easily March 31, 2006 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
as with other reviews, the Connoisseur lever was great for a couple of months but then broke - part of the actual lever set broke so it can't be fixed...
When it works its great....... November 27, 2005 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
While it works it is the best corkscrew I have ever tried, but it doesn't last, something goes wrong after a while (about 2mths) and getting the cork back off the 'worm' is impossible.
Lightning Lever November 8, 2005 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I found the lighting lever extremely easy and simple to use. The ergonomic design made the action smooth and comfortable to perform. Using this aid made the whole process efforthless, when compared to the conventional method of hand powered twist openers. The time dedicated to perform the task is greatly reduces and the predictable pit falls of corking and other such scenarios seem to be avoided. The design is sleek and tylish and does not look out of place in today's modern kitchen.
