this little camera looks really good in black chrome has an auto night sensing light mode and has a mic! what more can u ask for in under 6 pounds! the clip is great to attach to top of laptop screen. the camera can swivel in almost any direction! and if you want it can be stuck to a wall.
also i had no problemns installing the drivers for this cammera. i had read the reviews on amazon before buying the item and as some had said before plugged in the camera and let the computer search for drivers it self! THIS DID NOT WORK FOR ME. i installed both the utility and the direct x that came on the cd. the camera detected the drivers and i was up and running no proble. quite east to install. i am using xp though! this may be the reason why it was relatively easy for me to install the camera.
overall it is a great webcam which is very easy to use and has the added features of night mode and mic included. the picture quality is also very good.

Product is good for simple messaging. Lights are ok for darkened room. The mike is not the best, but I have no problems with distortion. Need to make sure no feed back from other devices. Also need to sort out the input/output of computer audio devices.
Big problem is the driver software which basically is defective. There is a solution. Do not use the disc. Plug in the webcam and when screen comes up, ask for a search of suitable drivers. There is a good chance it will find a driver for HP Basic Cameras. This works perfectly and controls for colour, lights, etc. can be accessed from Skype when webcam is plugged in. The HP driver can probably be found on internet.

It's not a bad camera but this is NOT a night vision cam. Which came as a disappointment because that's why I ordered two of them. When I opened the box I found it's just an ordinary web cam of average quality. When it gets dark in the room, the 6 LEDs will come on and illuminate the person in front of the camera. That's not night vision, that's a webcam with a torch. If that's good enough for you, fine, but if you're looking for a proper night vision cam give this one a miss. It's not what it says it is.

found out how to load software !!!!.you must go into "my computer"- load cd into the cd drive then use "set up" to load software before it will work. Good value for money works like wonderfully
Useless waste of money.. February 28, 2008

Bought it from another Co. (BC-UK), but never had the chance to open it until several months later. Picture ok, but no sound except loud whistles and lots of buzzing that eventually died down to nothing. Tried to claim statutory rights, but no joy. Don't waste your money on this - now I know why it's so cheap ! You get what you pay for.
