1 out of 5 stars Poor performance with the buttons   September 30, 2008
badger (UK)
OK, it looks great but what is important in a mouse is that the pointer tracks predictably and the buttons work when you click them.

The pointer does not track predictably. Sometimes it is slow, other times it stops. This could be the surface I am using it on, but I haven't had a similar problem with other mice.

The buttons, however, are much worse. Sometimes they work, other times they don't. Sometimes you have to click half a dozen times to get the thing to work. Another problem is that a single click seems to 'store up' lots of clicks and many click commands end up being sent even though you have clicked once.

Very frustrating, not least for the price I paid for it. Fewer flash add-ons please, just concentrate on producing a mouse which at least does the core function adequately.

2 out of 5 stars Quality of wheel letting it down   September 28, 2008
Shrui (Glasgow)
I'm on my second purchase of this mouse now. The first suffered from being in my bag and the mouse buttons got done in. Also the wheel became sluggish and middle button not so good but I put this down to the abuse of travel.

So liking it a lot and cursing my own abuse of it I bought a second one, got a box to keep it in to keep it safe unlike last time and thought that would be me happy.

Except no, the mouse wheel is getting sluggish again. It's really fast and loose to begin with but over 3-4 months its gone the same way as the previous ones and is now getting really bad to use.

Was considering buying another so I wouldn't have to transport it everywhere (I really do like it) but the mouse wheel is a serious let down.

Absoloutely great mouse. It has a good sensitivity and the extra buttons are very uesfull and make navigation on a computer so much easier.

5 out of 5 stars The Mary Poppins of Notebook Mice - Practically Perfect in Every Way   September 5, 2008

What a fabulous mouse - the contours fit to the hand comfortably, with a slightly textured surface at the thumb indentation for extra extra firm grip.

Slightly larger than some notebook mice, but I think this is all to the good, as it takes a certain size to provide sufficient support for the hand. However, it is still small and convenient.

Unlike the nano, which attempts to work for both left handed and right handed people (and is, in consequence, comfortable for neither), navigation keys are on the left side of the mouse, allowing navigation using the thumb.

There is also a zoom function, easily accessible on top using index finger. (On the nano, this is the position of the navigation key, there being no thumb keys, and is excruciatingly useless position for such a frequently used function). I'm not quite convinced about the zoom button though - it feels to me that it might be a little fragile. Only longer term use will show if this continues to work.

Of course, you can always switch the functions around using software, but I don't see any reason for anyone in their right mind to do so (not sure about gamers - they might have other needs. I don't know anything about that).

The scrolling options also are extremely useful, with a small switch on the bottom turning on the freewheeling function, allowing scrolling of many pages with only a flick of the finger, reducing stress.

However, one caveat: This mouse is not for left-handers. I don't know if they produce a left-handed version of this mouse, but otherwise, lefties - this product is not for you. It seems to be the price of truly ergonomic tailoring; a single mouse cannot cater to either hand.

For a right handed person like me, though, it is a joy to use. Thoroughly recommended. Enjoy!

3 out of 5 stars Not steady   April 18, 2008

After reading all the reviews, i decided to buy this mouse. It lagged when i first started to use it, the worst part is, estimation time length for the battery is 120 days, but it dropped 5 days in just 1 DAY.....
