3 out of 5 stars Value for money   July 26, 2008
Daveybaby (England)
Just bought this from Asda 6.45! Using it on my laptop running on XP. Hardware recognised & installed automatically in a few seconds. Wasn't sure what the two side buttons were for but found that they scroll back to previous web page or forward (same use as arrows top left of Internet explorer). Couldn't find anyway to allocate specific tasks to the side buttons (the mouse settings in control panel only seem to allow me to edit 3 buttons). Does everything my old corded mouse did & so far no problems. Suits my needs.

1 out of 5 stars Cheap junk   July 11, 2008
Rod (Edinburgh, Scotland)
The mouse feels cheap and looks cheap.
Examining the USB connector will show exactly how cheap this really is.
At the moment, the one here is a 9.99 paper-weight.

Vista used to recognise it but after unplugging the dongle, changing the batteries, plugging the dongle in and booting up - nothing.
Vista recognises it as an "HID compliant mouse" and won't do anything at all beyond that dubious recgnition. I can't use it to control the mouse pointer, click or do anthing else.

This mouse is just junk and will break very quickly (read the other reviews if you don't believe it!). Definitely NOT recommended.

2 out of 5 stars Lasted eight months   May 17, 2008
JJ (East Midlands, England)
Bought to replace a Microsoft equivalent which had developed auto-double-click syndrome. Immediate thoughts were that the side buttons and the detents felt through the scroll wheel have an annoying feel to them. I wouldn't have bought this mouse if I'd been able to handle it first. Anyway, after eight months' use the scroll wheel no longer works, so back it goes.

4 out of 5 stars Pretty pleased at the price   April 28, 2008

I have been using my HP wireless mouse since I bought my PC and as it was eating up batteries faster than I could believe I decided to give this a go. So far I have not been disapointed.

Installation was a doddle. In goes the USB, batteries and away you go. XP recognised the mouse instantly. It has a nice clicky feel that suits me and is the most comfortable RH mouse I have used.

My only criticism is the lack of any notes to allow possible re-configuration of (side) buttons. Neither is there anything on the website although there is a free helpdesk.

3 out of 5 stars Mouse OK but NO good for LEFT-HANDERS   April 1, 2008
Leslie A. Dimmock (London UK)
Nowhere in the description did I see a mention of this mouse being RIGHT-handed.Surely this is very much a deal-breaker - if you are left-handed (like me and many millions of others) then you would definitely NEVER buy this mouse. I suppose I might have been able to guess from the images, but hey, come on, one shouldn't have to play guessing games - other mice are described as right-handed or at least make some mention of being "ergonomically designed" or similar flannel, which as a southpaw rings alarm bells with me immediately. I've had to return it as its of no value to me - the 'handedness' makes it totally unusable, which is a shame as seemed a good mouse apart from that.
