No its not a pointing mouse, but it can be used as a slide change in presentations. Works well with the software to do this but lacks any pointer light. Its compact size make it easy to transport. However, its lack of bulk means its does not fit in the palm and has to be controlled with finger tips. I find this uncomfortable after a while, so whilst I do use it for travelling, I'm not satisfied enough to use it as my regular mouse.
