 Good mouse, not for notebooks though July 29, 2008

The logitech LX5 is a wonderful mouse to use, it doesn't skip or drop connection under usual circumstances; but the receiver it comes with is probably made for desktops and not for notebooks. The mouse does act a bit retarded if my cellphone is kept near the receiver, but that is expected. It worked without any drivers on my macbook. Initially it felt very sensitive, but once i reduced the mouse speed through the system preferences, it was perfect.
I would recommend this mouse; but tread with caution, the receiver is quite large and old fashioned, unlike the small usb dongle type receivers one sees now-a-days, the LX5 comes with a large receiver and a long usb cable. The only reason i give it 4 stars is because of the receiver.

Just purchased a Logitech LX wireless mouse & I would highly recommend this item. A medium sized mouse, smooth handling with 3 buttons, I did not require various 'gizmos' with the product. It arrived next day from Amazon & included batteries plus USB/Round pin connections. An excellent basic mouse for all my business requirements.

I recently bought this mouse and I'm very pleased. The receiver works well from even a further distance and the mouse itself is appropriately sensitive and reacts well. The movement is smooth, and the scroller is lovely and quiet. Very easy to set up, and the design feels comfortable in both left and right hand! I would recommend this mouse very highly.
