Puts a smile on your face! August 16, 2008 Robert Holden (Somerset) A bold claim for so humble a peice of equipment! But actually if you think about it we use them loads so gettig the right one is worth thinking about. I've been through a selection of mice recently (thanks Oscar!) and first off I like the size of this one as even though I use it with a laptop I don't get on with the tiddler portables designed for use with notebooks on the move. Give me chunky and solid. Its both large and very comfortable. But what makes this soo good? The wheel. Its so well made and good at what it does. On free spin it does just that: spins and spins. Like nothing I've used before. It'll cope with top to bottom of an e-bay page like a breeze. On excel, for fun, I've had it scroll 4000 lines with one (admittedly energetic!) flick. Nothing else comes close. You can tailor all the buttons with their great downloadable set=point software. All in all a top buy. Good value as well I'd say. I don't usually write reviews, but thought Logitech deserved something for the smile :-)
Logitech MX 620 - A Class Act July 8, 2008 James 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The Logitech MX 620 is a very good mouse at a fair price. It is comfortable to use, and the new wheel is a good improvement on the regular sort; you can scroll through a page as quickly as you want, and stop whenever you want instantly. The laser precision lives up to its name as well. It has a smart look, although it does not scream class. The mouse itself is relatively large, and while I had no problems with it, smaller hands might find it difficult to use. While others have commented that the software makes the mouse dysfunctional, installing the SetPoint software on my Windows XP system was smooth and had no effect on the use of the mouse. The software has the expected options on button settings and mouse sensitivity. Overall, a very worthwhile buy.
Great, except for the scroll-wheel, which is awful. June 12, 2008 Gavin Panella (Norwich, England) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is a perfectly good, no fuss, wireless mouse... mostly. It looks good, moves well, and is comfortable. However, the "MicroGear" scroll-wheel is dreadful. It wobbles, the clicking mode feels cheap, and it jitters all the time. Even if I'm not touching the wheel it will often scroll randomly as I move the mouse. If you use a scroll-wheel, avoid this mouse, and maybe also avoid the "MicroGear" gimmick on other Logitech mice. Sadly, my MX 620 is going in the bin once I've found a replacement.
Logitech MX 620 Wireless Laser Mouse May 29, 2008 Jackie Bradley (UK) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This mouse is the best mouse I have owned so far. It's formed to your hand to help to be more comfortable. The two buttons I have found most useful are the back and forward buttons on the side. These help me navigate webpages and explorer windows with ease (not having to click the back and forwrad button in the top right is great time saver). The bateries last forever I havent had to change mine in the 6 months i've had it. It looks great on my desk aswell.
Perfect straight out of the box! Precise, convenient... April 29, 2008 Andrea Cattolico (London, UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
After a few years of Hell, my previous Creative wireless finally gave up, so I went back to Logitech! Had already three of them, corded/wireless/optical... all ecellent, solid and still running. So I wanted again something reliable, precise, easy and comfy. This MX620 beats hands down anything else on for the bucks. I went on lots, borrowed from friends and flatmates. Nothing can compete to this mouse in this class of price. It works straight out of the box (Win Xp sp1 on Acer Aspire1450), no drivers, no hassle, bullett-proof signal strenght. On the hand is just a dream, button are located in the proper position, and the weight is just as perfect: not too light nor heavy. Feels solid. And, oh, let's talk about the scrolling wheel.... that rocks, it really rocks! And the switch at the bottom lets YOU decide what to do with it: cliks or no clicks? It's always hyper-smooth in any way. Am stoked with this mouse, am just thinking what I would miss if I had a Microsoft instead....! Flaws? Am looking for, but honestly I can't really find.... maybe the on/off button could be on the side? A storage slot for the micro-receiver? (it can be stored in the battery compartment, in case you travel with it!)... nothing major, really. Very good stuff, am loving it!
