Cannot fault it October 7, 2008 K. Reeves (Leics, UK) I have owned one of these for several years now. In fact, it's probably the oldest part of my computer! As has already been mentioned, configuring the side buttons to back/forward works a dream and you'll soon become frustrated that your mouse at work doesn't do this. It's so comfortable to use and fits my hand perfectly. The other half also has one and loves it. When this one finally gives up the ghost, I'll be ordering another exactly the same!!
The best September 22, 2008 AMM (Berkshire, England) Quite simply the best mouse you can buy. At any price. I say that having used countless mice over the past 17 years. This is the only mouse that I would consider (and the MS notebook mouse for carrying with the laptop). They also seem to last forever. Have you ever USED one of those 'wireless' mice??!
Highly Recommended September 14, 2008 A. Hepburn (Airdrie Scotland) A truly excellent mouse. I wasn't sure if I needed the extra buttons, I have always had just 2 and a scroll wheel but I wish I had one years ago. I use the extra ones for going back and forward in a browser but the beauty of this mouse is every button is customisable to do exactly what you want. One downside is the software supplied will not work with Vista but its easy enough to download on the Microsoft website. Excellent mouse at an excellent price, buy one today!
Strange Flickering August 7, 2008 Rob Shipton (East Anglia, UK) Although I like the flexibility of this mouse, that is the ability to programme the left and right flank buttons to allow say cut and paste, the updated software has played havoc with some of my more sophisticated software. It took many hours to discover what was causing my screen to flicker when using a music notation package. The pads do get encrusted with dust and I am now experiencing random scrolling, so it may be time for a replacement! Otherwise a good buy.
Best Mouse i ever had May 29, 2008 S. Austin (at home) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had this mouse for 8 years! tried a few others including MX revolution, Razor, logitechs. Whilst the other mice feel a tad more comfortable to use, UNreliability is always teh case and especially if wireless and battery powered lasts 2 days says 14 days which after 6 months is a lie. In my experience, DO NOT buy any wireless battery powered mouse for gaming and though ithas nothing to do with this, dont buy wireless keyboards either. If you have wireless router etc, i find it affects the connection and you get lagg in mouse movement or typing. Im now purchasing another intel optical mouse as i have always gone back to this one for gaming after the others died within 2 years. and for less than a tenner? There are a few types of inteli optical mouse and i know them all to be ultra reliable. Just choose the colour/type. Dont forget to occasionally clean the optic out underneath with a cotton bud and away you go :)
