Does exactly what I want. Using it with Vista without a problem - literally just 'plug and play'. I don't use it all the time but like to use it when working in excel and find that the batteries last much longer than stated! I can't say that I have noticed the weight to be any more than any other mouse and I do like the soft feel for handling. An excellent buy!
Huge receiver but a great mouse March 22, 2008 A. Far (Cambridge) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased this mouse nearly one month ago and I'm absolutely satisfied with it. I was a bit afraid of its weigh but it's not that heavy. The quality of the materials is good and it's very smooth as well. It looks nice although it doesn't have a fancy or an ergonomic design. The only reason I haven't gave five stars is due to the huge receiver. I was expecting a small usb receiver (as the ones I saw coming with other mousses) instead I got something the size of a mini mouse! For someone who has a desk I'm sure it won't be a problem. But if you are always back and forth with your laptop it might be. Mind that. Apart from the receiver is perfect. It also starts the standby mode automatically after a few minutes without being used. Just click a button and it's back to action! Great Value!
How do I actually switch the mouse off after I have shut my laptop down? February 20, 2008 Melly (England) I purchased this mouse a few days ago and it arrived yesterday. I was slightly worried that the mouse would not work as I have Vista on my laptop however to my delight it is fully compatible and I have had no trouble with it whatsoever. Despite this I cannot seem to find a way to actually turn the mouse off after my laptop has shut down. The red light constantly remains on which is rather annoying as the battery is bound to be wasted. Does anybody have any ideas as to how to switch the mouse off? Don't get me wrong the mouse is a fantastic product also it arrived much quicker than estimated. However I just want to switch it off!.
Affordable and easy to use...... but September 24, 2007 Sean (UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I jz bought this mouse a week ago. At a first glance, it doesn't look like an ergonomic mouse as it look squarish. Since this is my first wireless mouse, it feels heavy with two batteries in it. On second thought, the heaviness make the mouse movement much stable and precise. Install in Vista effortlessly. Need not even press the 'connect' button of the mouse or the receiver. Jz simply click on the mouse, it comes alive. Reason of buying - used to have a 5-button mouse with two scrolls - affordable - the click is soft and scroll is silent Why only 4 stars? - would prefer a bluetooth-like usb receiver - could have design the mouse in a more ergonomic style
Very nice September 19, 2007 Mr. R. J. Lyon (N Wales, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Got this mouse recently, and it worked straight off on my Linux machine (although the extra buttons dont work as expected). It is quite heavy, about as much as 2 paperback books, but if it is on the desk most of the time, it isn't a problem - just don't expect children to find it easy... The box says battery life is 2-3 months, but I haven't had it long enough to comment. The texture of the mouse is very smooth, really comfy, and the buttons on the side don't get clicked accidentally. My only bugbear is that there is a slight scratch on the right hand side which feels weird, but obv this won't be the same with yours hopefully! Overall, a really good mouse.
