The Disappointment of the year so far May 14, 2008 C. J. W. Gibb (Preston,UK) What a disappointment this product has proved to be, consistently unreliable and ages spent fiddling with all the (minature) buttons you can find. Press with all your might and main, you'll never get your cursor back again!!!!!!!! What a lack of proper instructions, trouble shooting guidance and customer service for such a (supposedly) 'branded quality' product. As soon as I can work out how, this beast is going back to Amazon with all haste. Like others I thought that Bluetooth would be 'sorted by now' but no such luck. For this kind of money I would expect quality but instead its back to the 'gas fired products' of yesteryear - sadly a common action nowadays when 'no buck can be quick enough'!
Disconnects frequently, really terrible, don't buy!! March 5, 2008 YY (Europe)
The mouse and the keyboard disconnects itself with alarming frequency. Most of the time would not reconnect by synchronising, have to reboot the whole computer. Really disastrous product, keep well clear of it.
Logitech MX5000 good or bad? December 29, 2007 Rick Cylinder (Merseyside) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
When this keyboard arrived it all looked impressive and installation was straightforward, but not as easy as with my other Logitech MX700 keyboard. I encountered similar problems as described by others, but after a software upgrade most of them have disappeared. There's still a slight delay when you start typing a sentence and for me personally the keys are too close to each other - still have to get used to that, correcting typos. The mouse however is excellent, I 'photoshop' a lot of images and a precise mouse is a must.
no problems September 3, 2007 Sandra Priest (uk) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
i was in two minds whether to purchase this after reading all the reviews, however i am very pleased with it,i installed the xp bluetooth stack drivers not the logitech ones, keyboard, mouse and bluetooth work with no problems at all
Very Poor August 25, 2007 Bingibongi 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Do not waste your money on this piece of kit. Both mouse and keyboard are subject to frequent and random disconnections and attempts to reconnect are often very time consuming, frustrating and unsuccessful. For a top of the range model this items performance is terrible - I have had to revert to my old corded mouse and keyboard as at least they work consistently - this product does not. If I could award zero stars I would - its that bad.
