A year on - four stars June 5, 2008 Mr. E. J. Daniel (Cheshire, England) I've had mine about a year now. First up, it doesn't look like the picture. There are three interchangeable sleeves, but the back is a fixed white plastic cap with a loop for attaching keys, etc. That lasted around three months on my keyring. The sleeves do slip around on the stick (So you'll need to push the stick from the end to plug it in, otherwise the sleeve just slides uselessly along the body). The result is that they get slack with time, so keep the colours you don't like - I'm currently on the hot pink, having gone through the white and the blue - or get used to the bare metal and forget about the sleeves. Give up on the endcap. You *will* lose it, so just toss it now and save yourself the worry. Data transfer speeds are fine for my occasional-to-regular use. I recently lost my stick - and it turned up in the washing machine, where it had been through about four or five wash-dry cycles with no ill effect. Yes, it's tough. I got this as a replacement after I smashed my last one - dropped my laptop into my bag with the stick still plugged in, CRACK. With this one, the USB plug and the body are one and the same, and metal. If I made the same mistake now, I'd likely trash the laptop instead of the stick - perfect, when the data's yours and the laptop isn't :D
Great product April 30, 2008 J. Page (UK) This is a real bargain. It's about half the size of my current 512Mb pen drive so I can actually attach this to my already crowded keyring. The casing is also nice to the touch. This is a great product from a reputable manufacturer and well worth the money.
im happy with this! December 3, 2007 Mark (Newcastle, England) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this just the other day, and I am very pleased with the performance of it. First of all for a 1gb and at nearly 6, thats worth it. I have had no trouble with it so far and its performance has not been slow at all. Its worked well the way I want it to and the product its self is small and does not feel cheap. Worth looking into.
Can Fix... Below advice works November 20, 2007 Josey (BKK) Following, the advice below, uninstalling the U3 software does help a lot. Still can't get to the MBR though... what's that about? (trying to make a bootable DamnSmallLinux drive)
Awful November 19, 2007 E. Pitchers (Lincoln, Uk) Doesnt work even though i have the right spec. Its very slow, and messes your computer up within minutes. Might as well save those pennies for a more reliable piece of equiptment. I wont be making that mistake again.
