item arrived promptly and was very easy to set up tried the fax through internet phone line but this does not work needs straight conection with live line. Very happy with the ease of installation and its performance.

I have owned this machine for about 4 months and use it for work. Set up was a doddle and operation is very easy. The scanning facility, which I use daily for copying Finance Documentation is both easy to use and produces sharpe images.Copying is also easy tho slow as its an ink jet but then you know that when you buy it.The colour images are very sharpe and rich in colour considering the price you pay for the machine. One minor grumble is that the paper storage is not that big I fill it daily.
All in all I would recommend this to anyone.

Trouble free set up, simple to use, very useful and easy to use photocopier, good quality text and pictures with no banding, although I haven't tried it for photographs. Does all that's needed in a setting with many users.

This printer has been a nightmare from start to finish - first printer arrived and would not install on windows xp - kept getting error message "USB device not recognised" - rang HP Support and they said faulty USB port to get a replacement.
Got my replacement - yes thats right - USB device not recognised again - tried on 2 different computers - tested the USB cable and nothing - got help from other IT professionals and nobody could get it installed not even HP support (In AFRICA!!!) - By the way found this out after wasting a very long time installing the printer software (about 30mins) (USB problem doesn't happen to the end)
After a number of web searchs - found alot of people having problems even when they do finally get it installed.
So folks do yourselves a favour - stay way clear!!!
