This machine is a piece of junk - the worst printer I've ever had the misfortune of buying. Constantly reinstalls the driver, freezes, seems to print only when it feels like. The customer "service" is a joke.
This is the WORST printer I've ever owned. August 22, 2008 N. Hussain 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Printer has various problems. Both mine and my brothers one. Installs drivers every time printer plugged in. Freezes in the middle of scans and print. Ocassionally reads "USB not Connected" when it is. This printer is just so irritating. Ink included only lasted a month and a half. I think it has a 5ml cartridge installed from factory. Might as well just left it empty. The power cable is so thin like a ribon. Very poor product from HP. Stay Away. HP customer services are useless by the way.

I purchased this as my old one broke and we loaded as per instructions and after 3hours on a phone call to India, they said it was the print spools and also the drivers so which was it. PCWordl and HP no help at all. Two weeks gone by and still no printer!!!
Paper jam problem after 8 months June 24, 2008 Richard S. Wells (Bristol) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Worked fine for 8 months. print quality is Ok. Cartridges are expensive and do not last long After 8 months the printer keeps jaming the paper in the machine Followed HP support instructions. Paper still jams in printer Last printer was a Canon which was no problem at all

Bought this from PCW to replace my ageing HP960C, but on the first test of photos I found that the ink came off if you ran your finger over the print. Took it back & to be fair they gave me an immediate refund. I've now bought a Canon Pixma MP470 (PCW version of MP520)and so far I'm very pleased. Scanned & printed photo quality are excellent.
