5 out of 5 stars The Best Gadget Brought This Year (So Far!)   January 29, 2004

I remember seeing something like this on QVC a few years ago as a TSV, at a higher price. I couldn't afford it then, so missed out.

I remembered about the sender this year, done a search and found Amazon had it for the best price.

Installing - out the box and in use in 5 mins, seriously.

Quality - the signal only has to travel 4 metres from one corner of my room to the other, so the quality is fantastic. But it does depent on the quality of the Material. It does have 4 channels to select in case of interference from a neighbour with something simular, I found interference on channel 3.

I would highly recommend this item if you are fed up watching DVD's on a small monitor and don't have a TV out, don't want to bother with cables, or is simply not a person who wants to open their PC up.

4 out of 5 stars This really does work well!   January 28, 2004

Initial impressions:
The device consists of a receiver and transmitter with an array of assorted quality cables including a scart to tv and small stereo jack for the sound as well as a small infra red receiver and transmitter. The instructions are easy to follow and the only modification i needed to make to my pc setup was to my graphics refresh rate to enable the tv to display the pc graphics successfully. The range is excellent and i currently use the graphics output to surf the net on the tv and the sound output (really is clear and in perfect stereo) to listen to music on the hi-fi (a couple of extra long leads were needed here) .
Minor gripes: Be carefull if you have a wireless lan setup as i had problems with my wireless access point interfering with the pc sender. Though i have a set of fm headphones and these work fine from the transmitter end sound out jack!
Major plus....it works with Linux

Hope this helps.
