Fade away... May 6, 2008 Mad Meg (Wales) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have had this phone for 18 months & I really find it difficult to recommend. The display is periodic, verging on non-existent now. Callers find it very difficult to hear me unless I face south - & the base unit is on my desk. The ring tone is shrill, which I suppose is a good thing for callers as they are sure to be answered within 3 rings. If you are thinking about getting this one, I'd be seriously tempted to think again. It's the second BT branded phone that I've had & I will not be repeating the experience. They only last for a short period & then just fade away.
Don't even want to give it one star, truthfully ! April 24, 2008 Mrs. S. Le Marinel (Jersey, Channel Islands) This is the second one I have purchased ! The first one was bought in January (not from Amazon I hasten to add as I was away from home at the time.) It frequently cut out during conversations and refused to work for at least 5 to 10 minutes afterwards. I returned the phone and received a monetary refund. Presuming the handset to be faulty I ordered a new one from Amazon. Unfortunately I am experiencing the same problem. Asking for a replacment will not help as I am now convinced the problem lies with the manufacturer. It's seems strange that both phones have had the same fault and came from totally different countries? I have contacted BT to inform them of this fault and to ask how to fix it. Maybe I should just purchase a different make and model? Meanwhile, I start all my phone conversations by informing the caller that I may be cut off at any moment and they must not take umbridge if they cannot ring me back for the next 10 minutes. I'm failing to see the point in having this phone. Personally ? I'd avoid at all costs!
No problems April 12, 2008 Catherine (England) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We've had this phone for around 18 months now with no problems. It's easy to set up, easy to use and the reception for phone calls has always been very good.
Neither good nor bad April 3, 2008 Chasamatazz (Bristol) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
For the price this is a pretty good phone with built in answer machine. The range of the cordless handset from the base is good, it's quite easy to set up & use, and you can hear people and messages crisply & clearly. But (there is always a but) the choice of ring tones is limited and most are very annoying, and a few messages left have been cut short as it gives limited time to record them. Most annoyingly though, is if you unplug it (even for a second), you have to reset the time & date & day of the week. Now seeing as you do this on the handset, which has batteries in it, this doesn't make sense to me.
Didn't work at all February 2, 2007 K. Raeburn (Kent, England) 3 out of 12 found this review helpful
Followed instructions to the letter but nothing displayed on the handset. Phoned the helpline (which I was impressed with in terms of speed and helpfulness) and they said the handset was faulty so to return it.
