Great item June 1, 2008 A. Hogg (UK) This is a great item, I have used both in the bath and nursery. Very accurate and fast to give the temp. After two years I'm just about to replace mine as bath products have caused a few black marks around the face but it only effects the look. A great a good looking product.
why did I buy this ? May 30, 2008 R. Guthrie (London, England) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
In the lead-up to my first child, I rushed out and bought this thinking it would be incredibly useful : I would know how warm the baby's room is AND whether the bath water is too hot or too cold. I hate to say it, but this is all common sense, and this gadget has sat on the shelf gathering dust for 2 years. I will soon have my second child, and I don't think we'll even look at this cute little daisy. AGAIN.
Good but double check the temperature with your hand! January 28, 2008 N. Shillingford 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Good design, but needs to be placed in bath rather than chucked as it can roll over. Temp reading can take a few seconds and can jump through a couple of readings, so always swish water and double check bath yourself to make sure reading is not too low and to eliminate hot spots.
Good until the screen mists over! January 2, 2008 M. L. Hawkett 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Would agree with previous comments that takes a while to get a reading and does flop over. But having bought two of these now I do like them.....but both have misted over so can no longer read the display!
Nice, but not perfect September 10, 2007 Mrs. Anel Laurens (London, UK) 8 out of 13 found this review helpful
I wouldn't give the item the full 5 star rating, because : - it doesn't stay steady in the water, and it frequently flips over upside down, leaving the thermometer part outside the water. - we find it takes around 10 seconds to measure the temperature. Have to stop the water for a few moments while it retakes the temperature - if the water temperature is over 50C, it just displays "---", which isn't very helpful - first time I thought it was broken and promptly boiled my hand.
