Winnie The Pooh Moonlight Dreamshow October 13, 2008 D. Rowland (South Yorkshire) i got this for my little girl as she was having difficulty in sleeping and it has helped as it keeps her entertained and everything as we put her to the bottom of the cot and she wiggles her way up so she can mess with it but there is some dissapoint ments with this item and they are that it is too loud and the sensor is too sensitive and any noise can set it off (even my son can set it off even when he is down stairs playing and my partners snorring) so once my daughter is asleep we turn it off so it dose not start up and wake her up, but i think it is a good item as my daughter dose like it and it dose make her fall asleep but only by making her want to play and coo at it which dose make her sleeping due to reaching for the main box of it thanks for your time and i hope this review helps in someway or another
Rubbish May 15, 2008 M. D. Jacobs (The UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
It sounds great on paper - soothes your baby to sleep and should they awaken during the night, it is sound-activated and should soothe them back to sleep. But as the other reviewers have said, this was far too loud and the slightest noise reactivated it - it woke the baby up and us in the next room! Aside from this the projected image is unclear (had no idea what it was meant to be) Looking at the box gives you the false impression that all sorts of wonderful images are projected round the room... Do yourselves a favour and buy the Tomy Starlight Dreamshow, we've been using it 6 months now and it still brings a smile to our babies face when we switch it on for bedtime. I don't understand how Tomy got it so wrong with this one.
Loud - no volume control April 22, 2008 charlie (Farnham, Surrey, UK) My parents bought this for my son when he was about 6 months. He likes the lightshow and the Disney Winnie-the-Pooh theme it plays is actually quite nice but as many of the other reviewers have said, it is too loud. There is no volume control. The only setting is whether the music/lights time out after 5 or 10 min. There is no option to just have the lightshow without the sound. The unit is also voice activated so if your baby cries, that sets it off. We do use the unit but I've had to attach a lot of padding over the speaker to reduce the volume so the unit itself looks a bit odd with all the padding I've put on it. This at least makes it usable though.
Too Loud November 7, 2006 Mrs. J. M. Grant (England) 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
This has helped the baby to settle a few times when she is tierd - but we have had to muffle the sound as although it says soothing on the box it is VERY VERY loud - the tune is very sweet though when not so loud!

This was one of many on the market and I can't compare them but my boy loves this projector. The box has a very misleading image on the front, it is basically a little projector with a reel that goes around until it knocks itself off playing a little tune. The area is in a circle spot on your ceiling and it certainly doesn't span the walls of the room as the box image suggested. I can see why some parents would be disappointed in seeing this. There is a quiet low whirr of the projector moving and this shouldn't really be there in today's technical world but it doesn't seem to bother my son at all and I certainly have no problem with it myself. The tune is the classic Pooh music and the images are a little repetitive but that's what babies like - repetition. So there you have it, the baby loves it so it's a winner.
