Brilliant! October 8, 2008 M. Davies (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
VERY impressed with this. I brought it as I had mroe lenses than my old bag could carry. In this bag I have managed to fit: 350D with BG-E3 Battery Grip and a 18-135mm Lens attached 100mm Macro Lens 75-300mm Lens 18-55mm Lens Leaving a spare pocket, space for lens filters, air blower int he top pouch along with remote switch and other cleaning items. Very happy with it!
great bage for Canon 450D September 15, 2008 Andrew philips (UK) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
This bag just about holds my 450D, my only concer is i would have wanted it to be a little smaller, but that may be because im not a day to day user of my camera. For someone with an extra lens and if they are daily users then this is really good
A very good compromise September 5, 2008 Dr Zeus (Kent, Engalnd) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
For several years now I have been using both a shoulder bag and a ruck sack. While the shoulder back gives quick and easy access to lenses and equipment it is a pain (literally) to carry for long periods. On the other hand the rucksack is very comfortable to carry but every time you want to change a lens or filter you have to take it off your back, find somwhere dry and safe to put it down, unzip it get want you want and then put it all back together again. The Lowepro Slingshot 300 AW does a very good job of combining the two. It is comfortable to carry ( with all my gear for a days shooting it weighs about 10 k) and when you need access to lenses you swivel it round and unzip the flap and away you go. The main compartment has versatile velcro fixed dividers and holds my camera with 17 - 85 zoom attached together with 5 other lenses includin a 75 - 300 telephoto plus a flashgun. There are 2 other zipped compartments sufficient to hold all my other loose gear (filters small reflector remote release etc.) with special pockets for memory cards and spare batteries. Realistically, though you need to put the bag down to access these compartments. The bag is well though out with several neat touches and seems to be very well made. Oh yes..... it also has an all weather cover. All in all a very good buy!
Great Bag, But Only a Starter! August 31, 2008 Peter Makosch (Leicester, UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Well, I bought this after a recommendation from a forum. It was all great, the bag is robust, secure and transported my D60 SLR with two lenses fine. There is space for three lenses at a push. The whole slingshot feature is great. Access to the camera is easy to access and I feel my gear is secure with the clips and zip system. Three months on, I have grown out of it as I wanted a bag what I could carry a drink and sandwiches in. I also have four lenses, a lens hood and a spare battery to transport with me. I'd recommend this bag for those just starting out, but if you plan to get serious, get a bag that doesn't LOOK like a photographers bag. Look at double strap bags as this one can last for a few hours but all day could be painful on the shoulder!
Excellent bag, well worth the money August 28, 2008 Sood (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
(this review is for the Lowepro Slingshot 200 shoulder bag/sling bag for digital SLR - a while ago all the different size lowepro reviews were bundled together, very confusing!) I bought this bag almost a year ago for my canon 350D and was a bit apprehensive spending so much on a bag. A year later and I'm still smiling. A well designed bag with incredible amount of space inside, and in the outside compartments. I can fit my canon with three mid size lenses, and one small lens, large diffuser, collapsible lens hood, full size flash, spare slimline camera, cleaning kit, spare batteries and 2 battery chargers! Took a while arranging them in a certain fashion like reversing the diffuser over the camera lens and rearranging the velcro walls inside the bag. I currently have my bag packed to the hilt and with only one main strap can get a bit uncomfortable, specially if you are used to using two strap back packs. Swinging the bag from your back to the side is incredibly easy and saves having to take the backpack off to get your camera out. I like the small attention to detail like the lcd screen cover - a small slip of cloth that cover the cameras lcd screen, the hidden water cover, and straps with loops apparently for tripods although I carry my tripods seperately. The inside walls attach via velcro so you can change the compartment size to suit your needs. Bottom Line: Incredible amount of room in this bag. Well constructed. Not everyone will like the one strap - with the bag fully loaded I found it a bit uncomfortable for long periods - I would try one on at a shop first to see if you like the feel. I use it to store all my camera bits apart from the tripods and a separate smaller bag for taking just the camera on short shoots. Well recommended product.
