Cheap and nasty December 2, 2008 C. G. Stevenson (UK) It's cheap and looks it. Only plus point is mine had SATA as well as IDE interface. To fit my WD 320GB disk in I had to break two plugs from the cheap plastic end piece. The power connector looks like end-of-box PS/2 connectors (who uses these nowadays) , and didn't fit tightly. You get what you pay for.
Good for the price February 11, 2007 Enduction Hour (U.K.) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I got this because it was cheap, to be honest, and for the price it's excellent. The fitting was fairly simple - slide the HD in, screw it into place and plug it in really. No fan means the case gets pretty warm, and I wonder how well it would cope with long periods of heavy use. Still I back up my macbook onto an 80gb drive in there with no problems at all. And it has a nice blue LED on the back as well.
Worth it. January 25, 2007 D. Bartlett (Hampshire, UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this to rescue some old emails from a dead iMac. Worked as advertised. Only caveat, the HD is held in place by four screws; in my one, one of the holes had not been fully milled, so the HD was only held in place by three screws - not a problem.
Pretty Good October 1, 2006 J. Sandiford (UK) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I purchased this on wednesday and it arrived today (saturday). Very simple to slot in my 80gb ide hard drive and just plug into front usb port of pc and thats it. However the product requires to be plugged into a power socket on wall which is annoying and also the supplied cables are very loose. Small inconviences but it is a useful tool, very good value for money. Thanks amazon!
