In response to the breaking down comment August 26, 2008 Andy Fisher 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I thought this had happened to me then I discovered that (at least in my case) it is a feature. There is a mode where the unit can be set to only turn the speaker on when the sound goes above a preset level. In order to set this level. Press the button bottom left with the picture of an ear on it. Then quickly use the volume buttons to set a level. All the way up turns the "feature" off. It is very easy to accidentally turn this feature on! Andy
Excellent for the Money August 25, 2008 Nicholas Collins (Warwickshire) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We borrowed some Summer baby monitors from a friend which only succeeded in driving myself and my wife mad because of the constant interference on the sound which interupted the TV let alone our sleep. These were swiftly consigned to the spare room wardrobe. We decided that top quality sound would be our No.1 criteria for any baby monitors thereafter and these monitors deliver it perfectly. You can program the sound to a level of sensitivity of your choice and they are also very easy to use - so much so that my wife didn't need a demonstration. The only criticism is that the lullabies sound like something programmed from a ZX spectrum but this is a minor point. If you want to hear your baby with crystal clear sound buy these.
Built-in breakdown August 5, 2008 Jessica (London) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
We have bought two of these, and one of the earlier model. They all work brilliantly... until the sound stops working! With the earlier model this took around a year, but for the two new models it's happened within 4 months. The visual display continues to function, but the sound is intermittent at best, and mostly doesn't work at all. None of the monitors has been dropped or similar, so it's clearly a design fault at the heart of the machine. It's a shame because while they work these monitors are great - clear sound, no interference - but with a four-month lifespan they are certainly not worth the money.
BT 100 Digital baby monitor July 12, 2008 D. J. Milner (England, nr Bath) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Excellent. I was really pleased with the distance at which the monitors work, and how clearly you can hear what's going on at the other end. It has a talk facility, night light, can play tunes and you can put it on mute and if the noise level reaches the 'red' zone your receiver will bleep at you. I have bought various other monitor and I wish I'd saved my money and bought these in the first place.
BT 100 Monitor May 20, 2008 Mr. Chris Snelling (Wexford, Ireland) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
For all those considering this ahead of the 150 (more expensive version) it is worth noting that the key 'extra' of the 150 is the room temperature alert function. (not available on the 100) forgetting all the extra gizmos and gadgets it (150) has I think this is a really important feature that would be more expensive to buy as an individual item.......unless not needed I would go for the 150 - only a little more money and extra peice of mind.
