Good card but buy it only if you need it September 30, 2008 A. Boboc (UK) I bought the card for my Olympus E-510 to be able to shot panorama shots. It is much slower that the CF Sandisk extreme III so I am really thinking that did not worth the money. Otherwise the card is ok, the price is fair. My advice is, if you have a camera with CD+xD do not bother to buy the xD card.
Bags of storage September 9, 2008 Graham Horsham (UK) I bought this xD-picture card with an Olympus Mju 820 Digital Compact Camera and I cannot fault it. I think previous reviewers' limitations must be more to do with the camera than this xD-picture card. With the Olympus Mju 820, I can store 999 pictures (or so it says, as I have never taken that many before downloading onto my PC) and well over an hour and a half of video. I have not tested this to its full extent, but, I can confirm that I have taken 5 minutes of continuous video with this camera, with the data being stored on this xD-Picture card. As a test of my theory, try recording a video on the camera without any additional memory inserted, i.e. on the built in memory. Even if the built-in memory is just 32Mb, it should be able to video a 1-2 minutes. But if it stops videoing after, say, 40 seconds, then it is probably a camera limitation and not the memory card - I tried this on an old digital Olympus camera which was restricted to just 20 seconds, no matter if additional memory was inserted or not.
Good value September 4, 2008 F. Carter (Somerset, UK) Good value. It may take around a week to be delivered, so it is worth ordering in advance, a great saving. Worth stocking up on for holidays, especially if you are using your digital camera for filming.
VIDEO FUNCTION August 25, 2008 T. Williams (E Anglia) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
WITH FUJI xD M PICTURE CARDS I FOUND THAT THE VIDEO CLIPS ARE LIMITED TO 40 SECS AT A TIME IN MY OLYMPUS 570 UZ CAMERA; WHEREAS WITH THE OLYMPUS xD M+ PICURE CARD THE LIMIT IS HOW MUCH SPARE CAPACITY THERE IS LEFT ON THE CARD. ALSO PANAROMIC FUNCTION OF THE Olympus 2GB Type M XD Card with panorama function AVOIDS NEED TO MESS AROUND ON PC.
Don't be fooled... July 17, 2008 Anonymous (UK) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Don't be fooled by the marketing, the special arty extra's and panorama features Olympus promotes are not worth having - you get a handful of tacky frames and messages to add to your photos e.g. Congratulations / Happy Birthday etc. Get any card so long as its fast and add effects or stitch photos together for panoramic shots on your PC.
