Superb and simple to use. August 18, 2008 Oz (Andover, England) Received very quickly from a top supplier. Just go the the edge-ds website and download the latest OS onto your PC. Then open the folder and extract all files onto the supplied micro sd card through the supplied card reader. Once done, add NDS Roms to the card in the same way and you're away. There are plenty of websites out there where you can download these Roms, but only for back up purposes of course.
Essential ! August 18, 2008 Owain Morris (Cymru / Wales) If you have a DS, you need one of these ! The OS gives you graphical icons for Games, Music Player and Options ( the ability to set some kind of security on this to stop kids fiddling with the options would have been good ) The MP3 music player is a bit of a dissappointment really, as it runs a command line based script to boot up, and is slightly slow, but then again, you know why you want this card, and it's for one reason only. Seller dispatched quickly and arrived next day.
ONE OF THE BEST TO USE August 13, 2008 Little Lady (Liverpool, England) ORDERED MY CARD CAME NEXT DAY, SO EASY TO DOWNLOAD SOFTWEAR FOR IT, EASY CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE, HAD MY NEW GAMES ON IT IN NO TIME. SHOULD OF BOUGHT ONE MONTHS A GO, A 2GB IS AMPLE FOR THE NUMBER OF GAMES YOU CAN PUT ON IT, SEEN OTHER CARDS WORKING BUT THIS MUST BE ONE OF THE BEST, A GREAT BUY.

Lives up to all the hype August 9, 2008 J. M. Newland 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Look, let's be blatantly candid about this; the vast majority of people will buy this card for the purpose of illegaly downloading roms for their DS. The websites are in force and the hardware to do so does it impeccably. I don't condone piracy at all - but if I said I wasn't tempted to download an NDS file and try it out then I'd be lying. In short - this card will let you do this with shocking consistency. As Amazon, like me, won't condone the use of such a device for anti-copyright purposes, the remainder of this review concentrates firmly on the ability to use the EDGE card and peripherals to turn your DS into a mobile multimedia device (of sorts) and to try out some of the results of the DS homebrew scene (which are, I hasten to add, very impressive). EDGE comes in probably the funkiest packaging I've experienced to date. How many triangular packages have you had, other than Dairylea or (if viewed from above) Toblerone? Slide back the pivoted front cover to reveal a branded SD card with a slot to recieve a Micro SD card. This package comes complete with a Kingston MicroSD - and be careful about buying other, cheaper alternatives - the DS requires a fast read/write speed and, in my experience, the lower-GB Kingston devices are superior to others. Don't think that this will operate sweetly with a 32GB Korean import card because it will surely dampen your experience. Initial setup needs a web connection, but couldn't be easier. You download the latest Edge.dat file from their website and (optionally) other content to enable cheats, play multimedia files or edit the UI skin. After the above, which takes seconds, all you need to do is to transfer the content you want your DS to read (.nds - copyright-permitting or multimedia files) using the supplied USB device, into which the Micro card neatly slots, using a simple drag and drop via Windows. Then, you slot the card back into the Edge SD card, which slots back into the DS. You turn on the DS and the simple but completely adequate interface launches automatically. From here, you can either launch an NDS file (say, a personal backup of a game you already own), edit options or view your multimedia files. I was really impressed. It is a very simple and powerful utility and has injected many years of life back into my DS, which started to collect dust a few months ago after Animal Crossing started to get a bit boring.
