Top buy October 10, 2008 M. A. Gamwell (England) Id been looking to buy a new mouse mat for some time and as i do allot of design work i was considering getting a specialist one. The razar is brilliant not only is it extremely large giving you lots of space to work on it, its duel sided is very good the control surface is slightly rough while the speed it very smooth allowing quick movements. Both sides have small rubber feet in each corner to provide grip but if you get it with the gel wrist rest it has a large traction pad connected to the wrist rest that the mouse pad will sit on. The mouse mat will interfere with wireless mouses if the receiver is below the mouse mat but i have no problems as my receiver is movable. Overall a great piece of kit worthy of being on any gamers/designers desk or any one that just wants a really good mouse mat that doesn't slide around, it may be a bit pricey but it is worth it
Good mouse mat for serious gamers September 1, 2008 G. Card (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought this about 2 months ago, been using it since. It large, solid, it is double sided (a rough side and a smooth side) depending on your preference. I use on it a MX518, or Razer DiamondBack, works well with both. The arm rest is also detachable. I use it to play FPS like UT, CSS, Far cry, COD etc. Accuracy is good and slick. However, it wont make u a pro player over night :) Its fairly expensive for a mouse mat, if u play in an online clan, you will probably want one :)
The ultimate mouse pad? September 1, 2008 Mr. C. E. Blackwell (London, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I needed a new mouse mat and having read good things about this one, decided to go for it. And I'm glad I did - it works extremely well! This mouse pad is rather large, but for gamers this encourages one to adopt a different style of mouse use - turn down the mouse speed and the large pad area gives you great sensitivity. The rubber pads on the mouse mat grip a table or desk very well and the nice stiff aluminium makes it possible to use the exactmat in some unorthodox position - I tried resting it on my leg & it worked rather well. One thing I was rather skeptical about was the two different surfaces. However, I found that they really do work. The "speed" surface is fairly smooth, and it does make mouse movements in shooter games very fast but still smooth. I've been pivoting, turning and twisting in UT2004 with a whole new level of skill. The "control" side also works as advertised, in fact the granularity of this surface exceeds the capabilities of my old mouse when it comes to movement sensitivity. Which brings me on to my final point - this mouse pad is wasted if you have a cheapo low-resolution mouse. I've found it works best with high-spec high-resolution mice (such as Razer mice, surprise surprise). Oh, one more thing - the gel wrist rest is very nice. It has some sort of memory and as such develops a mild indentation at the natural position of your wrist on the pad - very comfortable and very useful. In conclusion, this mouse pad works extremely well, but to benefit most from it you will need a high-spec mouse.
fantastic mouse pad August 10, 2008 A. Day (UK) fantastic mouse pad, no mouse should be without one. i have a wireless mouse & i don't get any interference from the pad, & the wrist support is great i don't notice much difference between the two sides one being a control surface & the other being a speed they are very much the same in the response that you get from the mouse to the screen. forget about them flimsy plastic or foam pads this one will last you forever.
Speed and Control July 29, 2008 Rich (Edinburgh, England) I recently purchased this mouse mat to overcome the problems of my shiny desk surface disrupting the optical Logitech Mouse I have. It's an excellent mouse mat and does exactly what it says on the packaging - speed side and control side to suit what you want when you need it. I did have a few issues when using it with my mouse, which I want to note for others. The metal inside the mat interferes with the communications between my wireless mouse and the receiver, so the mouse doesn't work very well, unless the receiver is in close proximity of the mouse mat and mouse. A small annoyance of an otherwise fantastic mouse mat.
