...some reviews (see below...) sound as if the author of the book (or a close relative) wrote them to increase sales. This book is ok, though a bit 'light weight'. There are better books on stretching out there for sure.
Stretching , author Suzanne Martin September 22, 2006 Gill (UK) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
There are many good books on stretching available, but I am glad to have come across this one. This book is suitable for my remedial massage clients, most of whom know that they "should stretch" because they feel stiff and uncomfortable, but need guidance and encouragement. This book will enable you to really get the most out of whatever time you are prepared to devote to stretching. The stretches and movements are clearly described and well illustrated, and the book is arranged in such a way that you can choose from a range of options to suit your own needs, and best help your own body. While eminently suitable for general stiffness, it would also be excellent for sportspeople, covers a range of sports, and even provides sections on counteracting work-related aches and pains. The "21-Day Posture Programme" and "Energizing Warm-up" are my favourite sections; they are practical, effective, and have a feelgood factor. If you seriously want to improve and maintain the health and functioning and flexibility of your muscles and joints then this book is ideal.
