Runner? Biologist? Both? - you'll love this!January 10, 2008 Mark Wilkins(Bristol UK) This autobiography effortlessly blends the author's interests into one fascinating account. He is clearly a well renowned physiologist, and also an endurance athlete - his early experiments in sports nutrition beggar belief! I ask you - olive oil as an energy source! And beer! I read half of this book on holiday in Nova Scotia, Canada, then had to give it back to its owner. Three years later I tracked it down in Calgary - I was so pleased.
