Effective Training Programmes that are Easy To Follow November 12, 2003 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
After reading this great text, myself and another coach tried a few exercises with our rugby team at training and the improvements were visible - you or your players can go faster and be more agile with the right training. I'd recomend this text to anybody who wants to take their team to the next level. I've now passed this book on to a colleague who teaches a junior girls football team who continually tells me she loves it too.I've heard there is a video that accompanies this book which I intend to check out!
Damaging approach to fitness training September 6, 2001 13 out of 21 found this review helpful
The editors not only fail to attribute many aspects of what they write about, they fail to appreciate many of the most important aspects required to design an effective programme to improve the ability of amatuer or professional athletes. Difficult to read, this book only managed to confuse this already experienced trainer.
great all round workout May 20, 2001 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
after seen SAQ in action, i thought a book could not offer any more, i was wrong. This book is full of useful, practical and informative exercises. The sections are broken down and diagrams show what to do whilst the information provided fills in any blanks! It also offer alternatives to tax even the most fittest of trainers. Great exercises to add to your circuit class with expensive equipment! It also includes some tests and example programs to get you started
