Fab Remote for my Canon 400D camera June 25, 2008 D. K. Cain (Cramlington, UK.) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought this for 16, a few pounds cheaper than elsewhere. Delivered very fast and i was amazed how small it actually was( smallest remote i've seen, so clip it securely to camera strap when not in use.) Because of the remote control and up to two second time delay on shutter release, this will greatly reduce any camera shake. This is a small piece of kit, that in my opinion is a must have tool!
Great things in a small package June 13, 2008 Icy Sedgwick (London, UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought it after it was recommended in a Canon photography magazine for landscape photography, although it has a multitude of uses for any photography that needs long exposures - particularly macro work. It also has its uses in more fun ways, allowing you to take self-portraits or group photos without having to rely on the 10 second timer! This particular control can be set for instant shutter release or a two second delay, and you can attach it to your camera strap so it's always handy. It's also absolutely tiny, requiring just two 3V CR1220 batteries that come packaged with it. I'd recommend this to anyone who owns a Canon! It's such a small and cheap piece of kit that it won't break the bank, and you're bound to find a use for it, whether you're taking holiday snaps that you'd like to be in, or if you're botanical photography enthusiast.
Great remote control! April 20, 2008 Cherie Davis (UK) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
A lovely little remote control - really small, which clips onto the camera lanyard for storage, and easy to use!
Best little gadget for your money February 25, 2008 Mr. Michael Voice (Wirral UK) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I use mine on a 350D and it fits neatly onto the camera strap when not in use. Its perfect for those group shots when your dont want to run around in the ten seconds you get with the built in timer. But I really bought it for those star pictures where they make arcs in the sky and to try some of the Terrific traffic pictures you always wanted to take but never got round to it.
Remotely good February 16, 2008 Tachikoma (Birmingham UK) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I bought this as wanted to avoid any camera shake whilst using tripod as i seem to be incapable of pressing the shutter without wobbling the camera. First off, it works. Press the button and it'll either release the shutter immedicately or with a 2 sec time delay which is quite handy as well. However, i have found a few niggly problems with it. First, because it works via (i think anyway) infra-red and the sensor is on the front of the camera, you do have to have the remote pointing at the front of the camera. This can be a bit annoying if you have to sort of reach round to take the picture you want. It is good for self portraits or pictures with others, but not so good for work where you want to be behind the camera. Secondly, because it is just a click-button, you can't focus/refocus, the camera just picks up the first thing to focus on when the press remote. This only means that you have to compose shot first though, which to be honest I probably should be anyway but was being lazy at the time. Overall, good product, marred a little by infra-red aspect, bluetooth would work better i think, but for the price and size (absolutely tiny!) well worth it!
