Sony RemoteAugust 4, 2007 Linda Chamberlain(UK) Brought this when we updated our Tv to a slimline as we have DVD, Video and Sky+. Remote works all the sony componants(DVD & Video and Tv) but does not work the Sky+ box, not codes for this and no help from sony or Sky on codes. This remote is ok but is now consigned to a draw. USELESS

Was most disappointed with this remote - bought to replace an older Sony Universal Remote (VL900).
Did not have any suitable codes for any of my device brands -
- NTL/Samsung Cable Box - Sherwood Amp/Receiver - Philips Hard Disk Recorder /DVD Player
The codes for a JVC TV only supported the +VOL- and +PROG- and nothing else.
So all in all pretty poor show from this unit.
The Code entry method is also very pooer as there is no feedback to say that that you have successfully navigated it into programme code entry mode (an LED would be nice - as per older VL900 model)
Unit has been consigned to my junk pile !

This remote works well for most items that can be controlled by a single remote. It will not operate a thompson sat receiver though. So this makes it that it does part of the job intended for a multi tasking remote.
