Great Sound, great price September 2, 2008 Cameron Clarke (Manchester, UK) I have just got these speakers to use with my laptop when i take it to uni. I decided to go for PC type speakers rather than taking my hifi with me to uni, and it turns out that these speakers are better quality than my hifi. They sound amazing, very clear, no noise or distortion to the sound. It has a good range from the high notes which are clean and crisp to the bass which, although it doesnt have a Sub, still sounds great. I would highly recommned this product for anyone who wants great quality music and general use!
Excellent price now... August 7, 2008 Ambiva (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
At around 65 now its really the cost-effective price for it I've been using Harmon Kardon Champagne 2.1 for the last 3 years which was pretty good, but T40 does produce much more powerful, rich sound in terms of Medium-High range. Very good resolution at treble, crystal clear. Thanks to the size of it (4 med units, compared to T20), the sound get pretty rich, also the bodies does match the size and style of most 22' LCDs on your desktop which is quite good. Of course the only drawback is that the base doesn't go that deep, but hey, for a small sized unit (not talking about those bookshelf 2.0s) the base is really decent. Overall, excellent for music, good for movies/games as well. The controls are ok, with it could have some remote like Bose's

I bought these speakers as a replacement for the t20'a and i i have to say im disappointed.the look great but dont deliver any real bass without an option for a sub woofer input either.they are big without any real delivery'not very portable and has no on/off to the front of the speaker
WOW! July 2, 2008 David W. Brynolf (Scotland. UK. (The 'Rainy' place)) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
After suffering the quirks and crap of 5.1 speakers on a pc these speakers are a breath of fresh air. Personally I have found that 5.1 speakers on a pc gaming machine are a bit of overkill. Dropping down to a pair of basic stereo speaker has been a boon to me. I found that with 5.1 speakers that if a character that you are 'talking' to is directly in front of you the sound of their voice seems to disappear [spelling?]. I decided to downgrade to stereo speakers. These guys are very, very, very good. At half price they become most excellent. End of story. I highly reccomend them.
Good Speakers at a Good Price June 28, 2008 C. Harrison (Birmingham, West Midlands United Kingdom) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
What a dumb place to put the on/off switch! But the speakers are very good, and good value too. Just one word of warning though: don't rely on them if you are driving them with an ipod nano. The range of gain is just not enough to amplify the very modest signal produced by the ipod. Even with the volume control turned up full, only very modest volumes are attainable, but connect them to a proper line level signal and they produce a good deal of undistorted sound, which is remarkable for their very modest power output (just 14w per channel).
