Many noise-cancelling headphones (like my old ones, now broken, hence this replacement) swathe you in a thick cloak of silence, which is fine up to a point, but they can also have background hiss and a weird, phasey pumping effect at low frequencies. These headphones are actually quite subtle - you'll still hear background noise, but reduced in level and not so much that the effect sounds unnatural. If you're happy with that, you'll probably like these. They fold neatly around the in-line module and slip into a (supplied) dinky little drawstring bag, which is handy and sensible.
