So disappointingSeptember 18, 2008 C. Bogin(England) Judging by the other review on this page I must have just picked up a dodgy pair off the shelf. As it is, I've lost a lot of respect for JVC thanks to these headphones. I'd previously been using a pair made by another top-brand name which lasted me almost two years before finally packing in. I thought i'd give these a whirl as they looked good and I felt the 20 price tag was a guarantee of at least some quality.
While the ear buds proved to be comfortable and of reasonable sound quality (although lacking bass, but you try getting a speaker the size of a peanut to thump out a decent beat), within a few weeks of use one of them had snapped off. There had been no maltreatment, no excess wear and tear etc. I was very annoyed.
Foolishly I hadn't bothered to keep the receipt so was stuck with my one-eared earplugs. I continued to use them with just the one ear but before anotehr month could pass the sound quality had become so poor that I gave up and threw them away. I think it was something to do with the connection because there was a crackle when I moved the 3.5mm jack.
I won't be buying any more JVC products and have since purchased a new pair of the headphones I had before these. Musical bliss has been restored despite JVC's best efforts.

I bought these from Currys in an emergency when my other headphones failed (they cost 45 and were less than a month old!). I was annoyed to see that I could have paid 8 less by buying these ones from Amazon. I really like them as they fit really well, are comfortable and rarely fall out The sound is really good and mine came with four sizes of ear pieces and a carry case to stop the wires from getting tangled. They also are available in other colours. Highly recommended
