Amazing September 13, 2008 TBR (England) I managed to pick these up for 15 in a clearance sale somewhere, what a bargain! Always go for Logitech when it comes to computer speakers and I've been wanting some for my laptop for a long time, but a tight budget led me down the dark path of lesser brands. When I first plugged these in, the bass nearly killed me. My last laptop speakers needed the bass turned right up on the equaliser and adding that to the awesome power of the V20's, its surprising the house is still up. The volume was also a pleasant surprise, I've got my music blasting out with my computers volume on the lowest setting. Not 100% convinced by the little buttons for changing track etc cos I have those functions on my keypad, but either way these speakers look good, sound amazing and are pretty darn solid. The wire management/stands is also a pretty nifty idea. More than worth the mere 15 I paid. Logitech does it again!
Didn't last long! August 11, 2008 Mr. R. Mitchell (UK) I bought these speakers some months ago. I found the volume buttons sluggish and eventually stopped working altogether. Speakers no longer work at all. Waste of money.
Fantastic April 8, 2008 Mr. A. Randall (Suffolk, England) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
These speakers are expensive. There, I said it. You can get a Logitech 2.1 set for less that shakes your whole house and turns the room into a chamber of bass. But these speakers are perfect for me. My laptop, whilst being nearly perfect, has gutless 'Realtek High Definition Sound'. Linking it to my stereo, the sound is flat and weak. It just sound horrible through any output, really only suitable for sound effects and Youtube videos. Then I stumbled across these. They are USB, thus poweredby the laptop, but they also act as their own audio source (i.e they are selected by Windows as the sound source, rather than the onboard sound), resulting in much, much better sound! The trebles are very clear and crisp, and they have a very surprising amount of bass for their small size. They can easily fill my bedroom with great quality sound; they are the perfect companion for my laptop and now I can finally use it to listen to music properly! My only complaints are that they have a tendency to vibrate against whatever surface they are on- resting on something soft this is eliminated. I would have liked a headphone socket or line out but I can appreciate this wasn't part of their purpose, which is to have fantastic, portable sound for your laptop. They certainly succeed at that.
Good things come in small packages March 21, 2008 Aylward (U.K) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was thoroughly surprised by the impressive sound quality of these small and practical speakers. As a student who travels between uni and home frequently, they were the ideal choice. The only problem that I have encountered is that speakers move around when the volume is turned up, but nothing a bit of blue-tac can't solve.
Nice speakers, some problems March 14, 2008 Edmund Rooney (Scotland) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Very nice, compact speakers with good sound, very fast delivery. A couple of problems though. They don't switch off the PC speakers when you plug them in, as you might expect (e.g. with headphones in the audio jack). You have to restart the audio application. Even then they sometimes don't work (no sound, or no control via the multimedia buttons) and you have to switch audio preferences manually (and then switch back when you unplug them). The multimedia buttons themselves are unpleasant to use - hard and unyielding, with absolutely no tactile feedback - you can't tell if they are working or not. According to the manual only the mute button and volume controls work with all applications - the others may or may not be supported.
