Accurate and reliable January 2, 2009 C. Bublik (UK) The previous reviewer is absolutely correct about the design fault but you can get around this by keeping the pedometer on the mileage setting rather than the step one. I've found it to be incredibly accurate and it's been going strong for me for the last 13 months now with no probs. I also like the fact that it measures distance in miles rather than kms as my brain still struggles with the mental conversion! The pull cord on the panic alarm sometimes catches on a door handle and goes off - it's reassuringly loud! I walk on my own a lot and having the alarm does make me feel a bit safer. Having had about a dozen "bargain" pedometers in the past, I have been absolutely delighted with this one and think it's worth spending a bit more.
Not fit for purpose - design fault November 14, 2008 J. Harbour (UK) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Lets get straight to the point, do not buy it, it has a reset button on the side that extrudes so it is very-very easily reset by accident whether the dog jumps up, you swing your arm, a fold of your clothes touches it or you press it instead of the adjoining mode button. You will lose the record of all your hard work that day. To me this completely defeats the entire purpose of using a pedometer. I am returning it as it is simply not fit for purpose and ordering a different brand with a panic alarm. It has some good points but I will not waste your or my time covering these as that reset button is a ridiculous design fault that overides any of its good features.
