Don't be fooled by the price - you are getting exactly what you are paying for. The gel in the 'gel mits' is mostly in the name. If you want to get real gel mits, you have to pay for them. I should have thought of that.

I ended up buying these after trying on some vastly more expensive ones in a local bike shop - they are comparable quality for much less money! They fit very comfortably and appear to be well made and durable.
Secondly, the customer service is excellent and postage is free (or at least included in the price) - what more can you want!
As way of some help for everyone else, seeing as I had to contact them for a sizing guide, here's the reply I got. (Edit: although I just noticed that sizing has been added to the product description. Whoops!)
1. Get a tape measure and wrap it around the widest area of your palm. (This is the section above your thumb but before your knuckles)
If your palm circumference is 8"/20cm, you want small, 10"/25cm, you want large size, and if it's 11"/27cm then you want extra large.

I managed to lose one of my bike mitts over the summer so I decided to get hold of these. They are nice and comfortable, give a good grip and have a gel cushion on the outside of the hand, which absorbs some of the shock when cycling. They also have rubber nubbins on the back of the mitts in case you fall off, so that the rubber, rather than your hand, takes the impact. The fingers have rings between them, to help you pull them off easily, and overall they seam to be a quality item.
They are better than my old gel mitts 9/10

I got these along with the full Probikekit team set They are excellent value gloves and provide good shock asorbtion and protection from potential falls
