Product Description The new Cordless DUALphone is the first cordless Internet telephone on the market, using Skype. It has been developed with you in mind and uses the latest technology, making it easy to install and cheap to use. The Cordless DUALphone is a cordless telephone that can be connected to a normal telephone socket and a USB port on a PC. The display shows whether your friends who also use Skype, are online. If they are, you simply have to press the appropriate green button and talk to them for free ? no matter where they are in the world. If their PC is switched off, or you want to call someone who doesn?t use Skype, you simply press the other green button and call via the standard telephone connection. With the Cordless DUALphone you get both an Internet and normal telephone in one and the same product, which means you get an extra hands-free telephone line at home. You can dial and receive normal telephone calls or calls over the Internet. And naturally, there are no more sockets and wires to worry about. There?s no need to sit in front of your PC anymore to make free calls over the Internet. With the Cordless DUALphone you can roam within a radius of up to 300 metres from the base station. This means, for example, that you can be in the garden, or at a neighbour?s house and still receive calls.

Rubbish phone and terrible customer service June 24, 2008 Dualphones are faulty After a few month the LCD display stopped working (still a light but no pixels). The company sent me a new battery but that did not help. Then they just ignored me. Stay away from that rubbish. I still use the phone to make calls bt using the Skype software rather than the phone.
OK but limited battery May 13, 2008 G. Coleman (UK) I have had my phone for nearly 18 months and apart from the limited battery life I have had no difficulties. For those who need a fresh battery, try looking for GP60AAAH3BMX on the web, which is the manufacturer's part number. You get plenty of hits, in the UK at least. Also GP70AAAH3BMX finds the larger capacity model which should give a bit longer life.
Dualphone Service or Lack of it! January 8, 2008 T. BATES (UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have had the Dualphone RTX3045 FOR 10 Months and have found that the battery life is very poor and trying to replace it is impossible. The Display has now failed and Skype (I bought it from the Skype Shop) are not interested in helping they just refer me to the Manufactures Web Site who will not reply to any emails I send them. What I find frustrating is that nowhere can I find a telephone number to contact either Skype or Dualphone to report these problems. Although I find Skype useful I will not be buying anymore products from them or Dualphone.
Nice phone, slight vista problem January 3, 2008 jimminy crickett I had to manually go on to the du@lphone site and get the most recent software suite for it to work correctly in Vista 64. It wouldn't be worth mentioning at all were not for the fact that the installation software which comes with the phone purports to do the same. Except that it doesn't. I needed the non-US suite, in case anyone runs into the same problem.
Olympia Skype Phone November 7, 2007 Mr. S. De Mills (Nottingham UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This phone does exactly what it says on the tin but it has some drawbacks: the keys are very sticky and it often misses when dialling in a number - that's my main complaint. It has worked well for me for nearly two years and now it needs a new battery and can I find one?!!! They're on Amazon USA but they won't ship. It looks like I'm going to have to ditch the phone simply because I can't find a replacement battery. Apart from that it's great. P.S. I rang the manufacturers and they promised to phone back and tell me where I could get a battery - they never called back.
