Beware not fully compatible with MAC Leopard April 30, 2008 Elte (East Anglia UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
For the price it's OK, speech is clear I think cheap and cheerful sums it up. However, even though it says it will work with a MAC not all functions work with the OS X Leopard build which in my view is misleading. Incoming calls won't ring the phone and the LED indicator doesn't function. If you can live without those working then it's OK.
Well styled, but unreliable. March 26, 2008 Keith Lucas (Oxford, England) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am onto my second of these Ipevo handsets and have used them with both PC and Mac hardware. They look nice and are reasonable simple to use (if a little fiddly for bigger fingers) but the software is rather poor and crashes regularly - at least once a day on Mac OS 10.5, less frequently on Windows XP. The microphone died in my first handset after a couple of months. The only other complaint is that it starts to become uncomfortable to use after it has been pressed against your ear for a little while... that attractive-looking angular form looks pretty but has not been designed with ergonomics in mind! I'd say buy it if you want a cheap, stylish handset for occasional calls. If you want to use Skype-out and see it as a substitute for a conventional phone you might well be disappointed.

This was a great investment and the person who invented plug and play technology should be patted heavily on the back. I'm not very good with technology but this is really simple. Take out the packaging, plug in, install the software (from the given cd) and begin calling. It really is that simple. Only thing is don't be persuaded by this phone over the white version simply because of the "free" 30mins calltime. The voucher included in the pack ran out in March 2007! The phone works perfectly though and I would recommended it to everyone.

Simple to install (though no drivers for Linux that I can find) and works a treat. Does exactly what it says on the tin! Go for it. Audio quality is as good as landline phone - with Skype offering free UK landline calls at the moment, it's will easily pay its way. We use it in an office environment and have no complaints.
VOIP made easy November 2, 2006 C. Fox (Middlesex, UK) 20 out of 21 found this review helpful
I have purchased a couple of freecom bits previously, and my mates all use Skype. With a girlfriend at home moaning about phone bills, i thought I'd give this a go as is it a good price. It is very simple to install, and Skype is even provided on the installation CD. You also get a 30min voucher free for calling non skype contacts. But the real benefit is that you can call any other Skype users worldwide free of charge. One happy customer, one happy girlfriend (happy as can be anyway), and one great product. Thanks great service amazon!
