we bought this as it is unuasual in a boardgame in that everyone plays as a team so either everyone wins or everyone loses (tears with monopoly prompted this!). Whilst it does indeed have this benefit, it is hamstrung by rather complex rules involving movement of players and the guard/guard-dog and the use of cards. The scenario is that you are a group of special agents who need to open a safe in the Bad Guy's complex, you have to move from room to room, defusing traps (using trap cards distributed amongst the team)and looking for the four keys to the safe. To make life more difficult there is a guard and a guard dog moving around the board who will throw you in jail if you are caught. If you find all the keys and open the safe before the timer runs down you have won; if the alarm goes before you complete the task then you have lost. The game looks good with an interesting Cluedo-style board and well rendered figures and cards. The rule book is clear and the instructions good, but the rules themselves can seem a little complicated at first, and with the time constraints reading the rules during the game feels a little pressured. The maximum duration of the game is 30 minutes as the safe is on a timer. This may sound enough time for a family game BUT whenever we have played we have felt VERY rushed, and instead of each individual joining in it ends up with one person deciding what to do to save time. I guess the more we play it the simpler it will become, but this is initially a very frustrating game.
