I bought this in desperation. My 3 year old has been waking nights so I thought I would give this a go! It is possible to teach a 3 year old to turn it on in the dark by squeezing the hand [I found the wand a bit pointless, my 6 year old has added it to his dressing up stuff - it lights up too].
My 3 year old is very pleased with it. It remains to be seen if it will totally resolve his sleep, but last night was certainly a good one. The lights are just the right brightness IMO and when it goes through the colour changes, it is very soothing to watch!
I think it says a minimum of 3 years and I can see why. It's quite easy to pull some fluff off, so if you have a child that is likely to chew on it, your child will probably end up with a mouthful of fluff.
All in all I'm delighted with it and it is very soft and cuddly!

This woud get 5* as my little girl loves it. However, the first bear had to be replaced because the on-off switch in his paw stopped working within a month. Unfortunately, the replacement is having the same problem just 3 weeks later. It also gets through batteries (3xAA) at an alarming rate. If your bear gets as much use as ours, you'll be lucky if a set of duracells last a week. We use ultra high capacity rechargeables, and I'd advise potential buyers to do the same. My daughter gets very upset when Gloe has to be taken away for a top up!!!

This is a lovely cuddly bear that will keep any child content at bedtime. He has lovely fur and is very soft and cuddly. I was surprised by how soft he is as I expected the lights inside him to be hard. You can turn the lights on by pressing his hand or using the wand. His lights glow softly - just enough for comfort in the dark without keeping little ones awake and turn themselves off after a reasonable length of time. I think he's great!
